The Association Football Thread

I went last night and watched Real Madrid play A.S. Roma in a "friendly" last night at the Cotton Bowl.

My youngest daughter is the soccer player in the family and I thought it might be fun for her to experience big time soccer (yeah, I know, futbol)

It was fun. Quite a spectacle. Ronaldo did not play, though.

Heard that there was quite a bit of "fan interaction" at that one.

Because The Farmhouse has obviously never developed one of their own.

Twas a joke, I'm well aware of Barca's youth prestige.

In other news, I'll be attending the Liverpool/AC Milan match in the Queen City tomorrow and couldn't be more excited. Wish this work day would hurry up and end.

Sorry, probably should have indicated that I knew your post was a joke as well, poor attempt at my part to continue the trend. Need more smilies I guess.

Was good seeing arsenal beat benfica 5-1 today

Also the Man U/Madrid games was pretty good. I didn't think Ronaldo was going to play

premier league coming soon!

glad to see arsenal win that community shield 3 nil! (yes I know it doens't matter, but it looked like the gunners are playing harder which is good to see)

Arsenal will be in contention again, but I think they'll fall a bit short. Top 5 at the end of the year, IMO:

1.)Chelsea
2.)Man City
3.)Arsenal
4.)Liverpool
5.)Man Utd (just missing out on the top 4, I think Van Gaal is an excellent manager)
