The Association Football Thread

I'm a big gunners fan and today's game against Newcastle made me sick. Arsenal have great talent but they are very soft. When they are attacking they are tough to beat but when they try and hold a lead they are average at best. Today they stopped moving foward and let Newcastle come back. Never going to win a trophy playing that way

Today's game was brutal! I know they were down a man late but that's no excuse. Defense is the weak side on this team but they have been overcoming it by constantly attacking. I feel like if Nasri was healthy we could have held on to the ball a bit longer.

After watching the Arsenal game today, can't wait to see just how bad we slaughter Arsenal in a week in a half.

I can't wait to watch Chelsea/Liverpool in the morning. Should be a good match.

Liverpool win 1-0 after a gorgeous cross from Gerrard to Raul Meireles

Torres taken out after doing nothing

Glad this plot line is finally over, now just 6 points behind Chelsea and Tottenham

Oh well, can't stay unbeaten all year

Would have been nice to, though. I didn't know Chelsea had lost seven matches. What's their deal this year? I know Super Franky was injured for a while...

They just aren't a very good team. Everyone is starting to get old.

Random question. Where do you guys stream your EPL games from? I used to use channelsurfing.net till it got shut down.

I get quite a few from ESPN on my xbox, but Fox Soccer channel carries some, as well as Fox Soccer's website.

Man. U with a nice win over Man. City. Rooney with a beautiful bicycle kick into the net for the win.

Looking forward to the Champions League this week.

Predictions:

Tottenham over AC Milan
Valencia over Schalke
Barcelona over Arsenal
Shakhtar over Roma

The Chaaaaammmpiions. Love the Champions League. The knockout phase might be my favorite sports time of the year besides March Madness. Can not freaking wait until Wednesday. I hope we absolutely destroy Arsenal.

Drogba benched, Torres starting today for Chelsea. I am a little surprised with this move. Ancelotti might have to change his formation to something that is more accommodating to both Drogba and Torres.

edit: Also David Luiz starting as well with Terry, Invanovic, and Ashley Cole. Impressive D lineup
