Spain-Italy too. Currently watching the brazil Germany game. Let's see what the Gotze hype is all about

Cesc, Iniesta, Busi> Gotze, Bastian, Ozil.

Germany will be good. I would say very close favorites along side Spain for the Euros next summer which should be an amazing tournament. My only question mark for them is a striker. Gomez is real iffy in my book.

Looking forward to the national game tonight.

Klinsmann said something interesting in the pregame about taking American soccer to poorer neighborhoods and to paraphrase him, "just putting a ball at kids' feet". He noted how important pick-up play was for the game and implied how little of that was going on now in the States. A good friend of mine wondered aloud how much control Jurgen will have to change the whole organizational structure of US soccer and that this has been a sticking point for years with him.

This puts US soccer in perspective.

The game has been bumped to ESPNNews for a Little League baseball regional game.

Wow.

Looking ahead, do you think there is a chance Thiago will be better than Iniesta by 2014? Cesc and Thiago being the new Xavi and Iniesta.

Ref was terrible (on both sides). Should've given two reds and a pk, shouldn't have given the first yellow.

Also, Brek Shea and Juan Agudelo = Tyler Bray and a very short Justin Hunter

Certainly. Thiago is pretty amazing and makes my pants fit tighter. I think that is why we want Cesc so bad. He bridges that gap between Iniesta and Thiago.

About Cesc, have you been keeping up with a lot of the reports today saying the Cesc deal is pretty imminent? Crazy stuff. I'm actually starting to believe it. I never really listen to many transfer rumors until I see them in the blaugrana, but there is a lot of smoke right now.

No one should crown Agudelo just yet, but there's some promise there. I'll be interested to see the attack with Shea and Altidore in at the same time.

Hopefully Beckerman is the answer to some of the defensive problems too.
