Probably the biggest shock in that whole brawl was Busquets didn't flop for over 3 minutes!

Thank God there isn't another El Classico for 4 months

These El Clasicos bring out the worst in Pepe and Marcelo. I absolutely loved watching our entire team sprint onto the field to protect our beloved Cesc.

Arsenal are having the worst luck right now. That own goal was very unfortunate.

Ugh......with a trip to Italy and Old Trafford in the next week, I have a feeling it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

They will undoubtedly sign some players but why wait till the last minute?

What a boring game this morning. First off, Andy Carroll is complete garbage. I'm willing to bet he scores maybe 5 goals all season. Second, Suarez and Meireles should have started.

Arsenal better do some soul searching fast. No excuses for finishing the first two games of the season with 10 men. I'm no longer sold on them at all and in fact think they finish outside the top 4, maybe even top 6.

I keep hearing the talk about how Gunners don't want to fall to mid table mediocrity like Spurs, well sadly for them Spurs have a good shot at finishing ahead of them this season.

Ugly game, but at least the second goal had beautiful footwork involved.

Side note: the existence of the EPL and its 8 AM Eastern matches is a life-saver, because I can't really think of any other convincing reason there would've been for me to get up at 8 this morning and do laundry.

Having a 19-month old child will do the trick to. I haven't missed the 7:30 match in a year and a half.

like a boss

First half was shaky, boys were blowing lots of chances. Welbeck proved some worth in the second half, and even Anderson stepped it up. Cleverly wasn't very impressive IMO, still showing reasons to make a move for Sneijder. I was pleased with De Gea's performance, no howlers today but again time will be the judge. It's very nice to see Rooney in top form at the beginning of the season unlike last year. VERY happy to see Chicharito's recovery speed up by a couple weeks, as Roo/Hernandez partnering is lethal. Second half flowed nicely, as Utd played their typical "good" second half. Phil Jones is a boss, and smalling is impressing at RB while Rafael recovers. Lucky for us ferdy and vidic have some damn good backups. Good win overall.

Glory glory Man Utd!!

It could very easily have been 4-0 or 5-0. Rooney missed such an easy shot. Good win. Did Crouch play? I don't think he did, but forgive my ignorance if he did. Is he hurt?

I was projecting 4-1, with the 1 being due to De Gea, but I'm glad I was wrong. You're right, it should have been more like 4 or 5. Hopefully we beat the brakes of Arsenal and put 6 in the net.

Crouch did not play, was not even on the bench. Not sure his status as far as injury is concerned, but I personally think he is rubbish, and would start Defoe ahead of him, even though I don't think too highly of Defoe either. Happy Bale didn't really show up, and that Lennon played as stupid as he did. They better hold on to Modric, and need to look for some new forwards to connect with vandy and Modric IMO.

Just checked and word is that Crouch is about to head to Stoke City, and Spurs are gonna try and land Adebayor. Big upgrade IMO if true.

City officially signed Nasri. I don't know why, but I really can't stand City. Maybe it's because they develop no players of their own, but I find them to be a cancer to football.

Right before I thought City wasn't being too extravagant this summer, they sign Aguero and now Nasri. I like them though. They are gonna be a fun team to watch with all the attacking talent they have.

Again, City scares me this year. I've never believed that in years past.

Still holding on to hope for Sneijder. Lots of chatter, but I'll probably get my hopes up, again.

City has one of the best defenses in the EPL with easily the best attacking talent. It's just a matter of time before those attackers really come together. They have their creators now in Silva and Nasri.

I just hope they never have a chance to gel.. Always trying to appease your stars that ride the pine might have something to do with it. He is required to rotate in to many players.
