I'll be glad when this is over so I can unfollow Dave O'Brien again. His repeating the same info along with tweeting the play by play during games is completely annoying.

so what do you think the new lineup will look like? I know Lee was the number 3 batter in Chicago, but i like our current top 3.

The Cubs get right-hander Robinson Lopez, right-hander Tyrelle Harris and left-hander Jeffrey Lorick and the Braves get cash, according to Rosenthal.

Braves loaded with pitching.

Anyone else hearing the 3 pitchers project as relievers?

Wow . . . DOB just Tweeted that the plan is for Troy Glaus to go on the DL and rest for a couple of weeks before working out at AAA at 3rd base. Hard to believe that he can get well enough to play 3rd on those bad wheels.

Probably just a gesture so Glaus can see for himself that he can't play third very well.

fyp. I also think we're underselling Infante's hitting skills.

That said, you're right - a power-hitting RHB is vital. we've got two OF positions where we could put that player, right?

I like Prado as much as the next guy, and he's having a great season this year, but let's not get carried away. He's a career .300 hitter with pretty good gap power, but that's about it. He's a great piece to plug in in front of your real hitters, but he's not part of the core that the Braves will live and die with over the next half decade. The main benefit of Prado over the next three seasons is that he's cheap.

(The dirty little secret about Prado is that he's pretty awful away from home. Shhh.)

Great trade, BTW. Three mediocre prospects for what should be a significant improvement at 1B. Lee's contract is up after this year, so he doesn't block Freeman. I can't see a downside to this at all.

Love the trade unsure about Glaus at third. Not sure if he has the reflects to play third anymore.

Even apart from whether he can field the position anymore, I can't imagine that they'll put Glaus back in the lineup and Infante back on the bench. You have to figure that he's going to play 3B in the minors mostly to see whether he can play there coming off the bench if need be.

This post is flat garbage.

The guy is an everyday starter for the first time in his career and he's hitting .320. He only has just over 1000 ab's in the league...that's only about 2 seasons total. He has 45 rbi's this year and most of the those came batting leadoff. He had 11 hr's last year and has 13 this year so far along with 31 doubles! That's GREAT gap power from a leadoff man.

Did I mention he was fielding .990?

What the hell else do you expect?

I think he is going to be a huge part of the Braves core for years.
