I really can't envision a situation that has BJ in the starting lineup.

You have Gattis and/or Schafer ahead of him? I like Gattis and he is currently much better at the plate than BJ but he is a complete liability in left. Which does not bode well when the first team to 2 or 3 most likely wins game one. And I do believe BJ has had better second half numbers than J Blaze. Which sounds crazy.

I completely get where you're coming from and it is a tough call. I'm not really even sure what I would do if the decision was mine but I'm just going off the fact that the guy seems to have been MIA for all of September.

Jordan Schafer post all star break:

.170 BA

.248 OBP

.208 SLG

Striking out just under every 3rd at bat.

BJ Upton post All Star

.202 BA

.273 OBP

.263 SLG

Striking out a little over every other at bat.

BJ has a higher ceiling, but it is a crapshoot.

Rolling with Price and the Rays tonight, even though he struggles there. I also find it funny that Perez is starting over Garza... He hasn't fared too well since returning back to the AL

I realize that, when talking about favorite anythings, it's completely subjective and will be different for just about everybody but saying that Collinsworth is the worst announcer in the business is insane to me.

This was my beef that put me in timeout. Collinsworth and Michaels are easily the best booth team out there.

The other disagreement is Butch Jones and company's coaching ability. Which I admit is still open for argument, but it's not looking good from my seats.

And no, I'd rather not have to face the Dodgers. Sucks I won't be in town to go on Thursday. Driving to Knoxville for that massacre. I will leave it at that to forgo a potential jinx.

Michaels is good to me. I absolutely cannot stand Chris Collinsworth though. Imo, as Scottie would say, dude is slaw.

Gus Johnson is the best in the business imo.

Gus Johnson is horrible in football. Good for basketball.

Also, Rosenthal saying Braves are leaning toward Freddy Garcia to start game 4.

If we're that worried about defense, which we should be since runs should be at a premium in this series, then Elliott Johnson should be starting at 2B over Uggla for the entirety of the series. Aside from being terrible at the plate this season, Uggla has had his worst defensive season yet, in a fraction of the playing time. And good defense is more important at 2B than LF anyway, IMO, but I could see Gattis getting removed earlier in games for defensive purposes. Also, Justin Upton didn't exactly shine defensively in LF either.

If Hale had been brought up earlier like he should have, it would/should be him. I would start Hale anyways... But that's me. Not much of a choice, and it damn sure wouldn't be the 7 mil dollar man Meholm.

Meds on three days rest IMO.

Or Alex Wood.

Alex Wood definitely isn't even in consideration. Medlen on short rest if it's an elimination game, maybe.

When your choices are some guy and Paul Maholm, you choose the guy.

I would also start Hale.
