I'm not crapping on Macon, home of GAVol and many fine Asian massage parlors. I just can't imagine what the hell Heyward is doing paying attention to the guy to begin with. There's a reason "I don't read the newspapers" is a top shelf sports cliche.

Alas, they've cracked down on human trafficking and there are less happy endings in Macon than there used to be.

Shanks isn't quite a 2 bit guy. I'd give him at least 3 bits. He's been a co-host on Braves radio and done some work on FSN to go along with the AM radio show and sports anchor stints on some of south GA's finest low power network affiliates.

I've known about shanks for a very long time and I've never lived within 150 miles of Atlanta

That's good. I remember going to a 4:10 game in July one year when I was down there and I was soaked in sweat by the time I reached my seat in the upper level. It was miserable.

If there's ever been a perfect place for dome baseball, it's Atlanta. I don't know how they sell tickets from June-August for day games.

If he can consistently throw strikes with that delivery he should be very tough.

Is he ultimately projected as a starter? I would assume so.

All the experts say reliever , but the Braves like him as a Starter. Hasn't disappointed since he signed last year.

Not sure I've ever seen a team lose they're starting OF to injury in less than 2 games. I truly hope they'll all be fine and ready to go come the second half at least.

Thong is, he really hasnt spent much time at all in the minors to figure it out. With that delivery, it's awfully tempting to turn him not a lefty specialist.

Absolutely. It's like the contractors got confused when they built a dome for football and an open air for baseball.
