I'm don't really care whether one of Ohio's big universities is merely crappy or truly awful. The upshot is that there was nothing on Jones's resume to indicate that he was likely to recruit like this. When everyone was parsing his career last fall, I don't think anyone argued that he was a great recruiter. So far it's been an amazingly pleasant surprise.
