The Atlanta Braves Thread

This game is way more anticipated by them and their fanbase than it is by ours. I think we'll get their best effort or something close.

I'd love to see D-Samp and the running game generally go wild. That could also help take some pressure off Nico, although Nico needs to still be able to connect downfield to keep them honest.

One of the things I love about this offense is that we get pigeon-holed as being pass heavy, with a lot of emphasis on how the opposing team's secondary can match up with our QB and WRs. It flies under the radar that over the last 2 seasons, we've been the best rushing team in the SEC. Watching that 2022 tape with all the long passes freaks a lot of DCs out, but we run too.

Tell me you have an ego without telling me you have an ego.

The question now is how long can he continue to generate attention if he's just scraping by the teams he's supposed to beat and getting his teeth knocked out in evenly-matched games. Him coaching at Colorado (or any place) is an effective vehicle to promote his ego if he's winning some games, or at least being competitive against teams who are clearly better than him. If he isn't able to get his team to play well enough to do that, his interest in the job instantly evaporates. His sons are done after this year too, so he's looking at that too I'm sure.

If he loses to Colorado St on Saturday, I think even a lot of his fanboys will start to check out. That'd be losses in 2 rivalry games that he won last year and an escape against an FCS team. Not good.

I will die on the hill that his plan was to leave after this year regardless. I honestly think he's only there to promote Shaduer and get him to the league.
