The Bash Juan Montoya Thread!!!

yeah seriously. and now he's causing guys to blow engines so he can pass them. that's why Junior went out.

I'll be impressed when he gets in victory lane. With the publicity he gets he needs to consistently compete for top 5s
Then you're already impressed.

What publicity? Other than the road courses, where he has won, and this week at Indy where he became the first driver to ever compete in IndyCars, F1, and NASCAR at the track, he hasn't got any more press or publicity than any other driver.

Stick to making up accidents that he's caused, I'm sure you can spin one out of today's race.

he's already been in Victory Lane.

Where? Oh, you mean at a road course. A place where Cup drivers race 2 times a year while Montoya has raced his entire career on road courses. Now, next week he'll probably go out and win and you will be on here talking about how he's the best ever like some do on here all of the time, but then, after Watkins Glen, JPM will be uncompetitive for the rest of the season.

Kinda like he was at Indy, right?

Keep spinnin'.

Since when did one race determine how good someone is. By this logic, Jimmie Johnson is one of the worst drivers in Nascar. He's yet to consistently perform week in and week out and doesn't deserve compliments.

:eek:lol:

Yeah, throw that top 5 in Atlanta and top 10 in Texas right out the window once he has another top 10 run. Good job.

I'll give you credit though, you didn't try to pin an accident on him, although I'm sure next week you'll be back to saying he causes wrecks in every single race.

It could be bad next week at Pocono. Going into turn 1 I sure wouldn't want to be next to him.

Praise the Lord, Ganassi is shutting down the 42 busch team after Watkins Glen. This will cut down half of the cautions in the busch series. Now if Rusty would only fire Steve.

Montoya could make history: #42-Juan Pablo Montoya will look to make Nextel Cup Series history this Sunday at Watkins Glen International by becoming the first driver to win on three different road courses in the same season. So far this year, Montoya won road-course events in the Busch Series (Mexico City) and in the Nextel Cup Series (Infineon), becoming only the third NASCAR driver to ever post two road course wins in different series in the same year. Ernie Irvan in 1992 at Infineon, Nextel Cup Series; Watkins Glen, Busch Series; and Darrell Waltrip in 1986 at Riverside, Nextel Cup Series; Road Atlanta, Busch Series have also accomplished that feat.(Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates PR)(8-9-2007)

Still dont like the guy, but an interesting fact nonetheless

I don't have time to read through the thread right now, but I will when I can. Juan gives us plently of material to bash him with so I am glad that a thread was made just for that purpose. :)

Dangit d4ster3, why'd you have to compliment him? :) We have enough negativity on him why not continue :)

What a man, when asked about what would happen between himself and JPM at the end of the race Scott Pruett said he would do whatever to assure a 1-2 Ganassi finish. JPM could learn a few things from teammates if he wasn't out cussing out cameramen.

not a huge fan, but he has won at every level he has compteted at. Alot of ppl, espically in the south, dont like him just cause he aint "dale" or the sterotypical NASCAR driver. Much like that with Gordon cause he is a California boy. He is still a rookie, and needs to control his emotions a bit better. He will learn these things. I would rather have a pissed off JPM behind me than a pissed off Stewart.

For those keeping count at home JPM involved in yet another caution. I just wish that was Hornaday in the car rather than Fellows.
