its hard not to sound negative around you because you say some ridiculous things. we are not going to sign every player in the nation. there is nothing negative about not thinking that a QB committed to a school of his faith will not come here

and in regard to ambles, he wasnt committed anywhere. he was considered a lean to the gators. plenty of people thought we had a chance with him

But back on topic, IF we get Bidgewater, does it really matter if we get a big QB in this class? I would want Burnetti because of the Memphis connection or Bray off of potential, but thats it.

I think the staff knows they can manage with what we have now. But, big time QB recruits bring in other big time recruits.

X makes a very good point with Paul Jones. I really hope the staff takes a look at him. Jones has already waivered once, why not waiver again?

There has been rumors about the "big fish" but I think it was all blown out of proportion. Most recruiting analysts are saying that when Kiffin mentioned a QB, it was Lamaison. I don't think we will be signing any recruits until this weekend, but that is IMHO.

It's really hard to tell, but the fact he is pinpointing a particular day, you would think it would be something pretty big. Who really knows. Today might come and go and we hear nothing, but usually when Basilio talks about 'X' it usually has legs.

One positive that came out of this "big fish" rumor is that is sure as hell took the sting out of losing Scroggins. That combined with "X"s blog actually makes me excited to see who this staff is going to real in.

I know I might get roasted, but I think this might actually still give us a chance with Scroggins. X mentioned USC having one of the best QB recruits for '11 in their backyard. You know USC will offer. I feel like this might force JS to think twice about his commitment. Plus hopefully by then, we will have something to show for on the field.
