Are we seriously going to just throw out names without any sort of evidence? I mean damn, as long as we're just tossing out what would be considered big-time QB recruits that would have to transfer, here, just start plucking names out of this and keep daydreaming until we have something more concrete to chew on:
2009
Matt Barkley - USC
Garrett Gilbert - Texas
Aaron Murray - Georgia
Tajh Boyd - Clemson
Bryn Renner - North Carolina
Richard Brehaut - UCLA
A.J. McCarron - Alabama
Tom Savage - Rutgers
Andrew Maxwell - Michigan State
Allan Bridgford - Cal
Zach Mettenberger - Georgia
Tyler Russell - Mississippi State
Josh Nunes - Stanford
Ryan Mossakowski - Kentucky
2008
Blaine Gabbert - Missouri
Dayne Crist - Notre Dame
Mike Glennon - N.C. State
Star Jackson - Alabama
Andrew Luck - Stanford
Landry Jones - Oklahoma
Jacory Harris - Miami
Jordan Jefferson - LSU
Tyler Wilson - Arkansas
Kyle Parker - Clemson
2007
Jimmy Clausen - Notre Dame
Ryan Mallett - Arkansas
John Brantley - Florida
Mike Paulus - North Carolina
Peter Lalich - Virginia
Pat Bostick - Pittsburgh
Jarrett Lee - LSU
Robert Marve - Purdue
Steven Threet - Arizona State
B.J. Coleman - Chattanooga
That's just the last three
pro-style classes of anyone rated 4-stars or higher on Rivals. Not that there are never guys that turn into studs from lower rankings but on those three lists not many of the lower-rated guys have exactly exploded into "Big Fish" territory. And then of course you have players like Coleman (left us), Marve (injured and decided not to come here anyway), Boyd (um, no), and Clausen/Mallett who are chiseled in stone starters.
I'm just not really feeling this to be anything of note right now. But by all means, continue to believe Matt Barkley is going to be a Vol next year.
