The Big Tech March to Silence Free Speech

Bellsouth, Comcast, AT&T have aspects of their business that are given the utility protection such as internet service, phone lines, cell phones, etc. They "host" the access so when Huff calls his buddy to rob a bank, they aren't held liable. They don't dictate what you talk about via text, phone or messages. Web hosting is the same in present technology.

They don't know what you're saying and neither does anybody else, and that has to do with privacy and also the limitations of the technology. It's not the same thing at all. This tech is completely different.

Yeah, if I moderate what people say on my website, it's exactly like book burning.

Sorry, and while I understand why you don't want to - you have to pick a lane and support your position; otherwise you're simply advocating for regulatory decisions to be based solely on feelz.

Sorry, but a person's beliefs are not "feelz." My beliefs are my foundation.

Should the baker have to make a KKK cake? A BLM cake. A Nazi cake?

I'll provide you food, regardless of who you are. But I won't celebrate something which I'm strictly against.

If I were on Twitter and/or Facebook attempting to organize a peaceful, lawful, non-violent, public protest on deficit spending, would those platforms ban me?

Ban? That's a no. Censor? I doubt it. I imagine people are already doing that and you'd likely be hearing about it if it were getting shut down. My friend recently and successfully organized a COVID lockdown protest on FB and that seems way more controversial than protesting deficit spending.

Sorry, but your expressed opinions on a subject are simply and nothing more than an outward manifestation of your feelz.

No.

That's certainly your right, hopefully no government ever forces you to do business with some one you don't want to do business with.

I find it kind of hilarious that I'm the biggest anti-regulation pro business rights guy in this thread.

Not sure how Obama saying that Trayvon looked like he could be his son is stirring anything up. It's true and that case was a tragedy. Martin was killed in cold blood while doing nothing wrong. Zimmerman is, was, and will always be a piece of dogs##t that cannot exit this planet fast enough. It won't be long before he kills another person and it will be likely be a wife or girlfriend. He's had several domestic violence incidents involving guns since he killed Martin.
Zimmerman and Martin can both be pieces of dog#### but only one was adored by the media

What's your opinion on what Luther shared regarding likes and retweets by the "wrong" group?

I mean one was killed with a hand full of skittles and Mountain Dew, and one was around to tell his side of the story.

What if the only water works in your area refused you service? What if the only power company in your area refused you service? What if the isp in your area refused you service? Comparing big tech to a mom and pop bakery is f***ing ridiculous to begin with. They need to be reigned in.

This isn't moderation. I have no problem with moderation. This is allowing threats and organization of violence from every group but Trump, whom you erase along with Parlor. This is a politically discriminating book burning.

I'll give my simplified approach to this topic and equate the big techs to AT&T when it was broken up. You had one place to get your phone service and that was through AT&T and once it was broken up there were numerous companies started and the entire industry changed including opening up the internet.
In todays world most people get their information via the internet and a choice few have conquered that space, namely FB, Twitter and Google. Once those 3 gang up and silence a platform like Parler, it's like saying play by our rules or don't play at all. These companies are the modern day equivalent to railroads, big oil and AT&T.

Perhaps, but that really isn't the point. Let me ask you, do you agree with the courts decision in the gay cake case? Or do think that the business should have the right to make the decision on who it wants to do business with?

Does the baker have contracts with the federal government?

Servers keep track of it for data and doesn't have an employee reviewing specific dialog or information. Hosting a website isn't different. Its modern day telephone.

Geezus H. Water and electricity? wtf are you even talking about?

It's really kind of astonishing that you guys keep glomming on to the gay cake baker - the analogy was that of the principal of business independence and what you guys apparently have only been pretending to care about, business deregulation.

Perhaps this is on me for assuming you guys would be able to wrap your heads around what would generally be evident to a average pre teen.

So no rebuttal?

Doesn't matter anymore, Uncle Joe made a statement that he is going to prioritize helping all businesses that are owned by blacks, hispanics and native Americans. Screw the white peoples.

Eh... we dont need help. If one of us whiteys have a struggling business we just sell one of our Bentleys to make it all work out. Or just enslave some minority for a few weeks until we get back on our feet.
