The Braves Thread

Bama lost to two garbage teams on the road... Let's get em in with a big ole road tilt.

OSU being Michigan's only road win... Ah, hell, let's give em a chance to fix that.

Neyland being an unbeatable atmosphere and a place we didn't lose... Eh, send em somewhere. With the toughest path of anyone.

And I'm frustrated for Miami fans. Their losses are a lot more respectable than Alabama's.
Miami lost to Virginia Tech too, the refs just said otherwise.

Basically the field is locked.

It's pretty obvious they're trying to get B10 teams at home because that's their only shot.

And this won't be a popular take...... But Bama is better than the teams behind them
The weather isn't even as big of a deal as many think. I think a lot of Yankees think Knoxville is like South Beach this time of year.

Miami, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee didn’t lose at home this year

Notre Dame lost a home game as a 28 point favorite and Ohio State lost a home game as a 20 point favorite

Yet…guess who gets to host

Flash forward (please) to Oregon fans questioning the whole process because they don't get homefield and have to face a confident Vols team in the Rose Bowl.

Every cliched statement this year that usually holds has gotten blown up. "They care more about who you beat than who you lost to?" Not really. "Better to lose early than late?" Nope.

You can't lose any later, and in a more embarrassing fashion, than Ohio St just did and it is hardly going to matter. The teams that have played Michigan are definitely benefitting some some kind of halo effect since they are the defending national champs and (oh yeah) their ****ing AD runs the committee. What a ****ing joke.

"You actually don't want the first round bye" I think is going to be a hugely popular narrative with this thing at some point.

Gotta say... Bama obviously the anointed ones every year in the committee's eyes, but I dunno how much Bama wants a taste of ND at night in South Bend.

We outrushed Bama 214-75.
5 ypc vs 2.2.
Sampson 26 for 139 and 2 TDs.

Oklahoma (!) outrushed them 257-70.

Only game they looked great on the ground was against Kelly whose teams haven't fit a run play since the late 70's.

Snitker going with Ozzie Albies as his golden batter and then grounding out to second base and then hearing Snit’s “aw gee shucks ya know I just liked Ozzie there” postgame would probably mentally break me

Braves Today podcast moderator Lindsey Crosby talks about Anthopoulos and Atlanta perhaps moving on from Ozzie Albies and trading him.

Did Mark Bowman really say that pitchers refused to throw to Contreras to defend the Sean Murphy trade? Seriously? The organization is so soft that they are letting that leak to defend themselves?

Like him meaning? (completely clueless here, jw)
Catch and run guys. More guys that can make things happen in the open field. Even Thornton is a straight line guy. When was the last time squirrel caught a ball and made someone miss for a big gain? We don’t really have that
