A guess, gut feeling, and it looks that way by the media. However, I've been told by a friend in the AD that Pearl's done, but don't know when it's to be announced.

Fair enough I was just curious beacuse you hear so many different opinions and predictions have been made for today that have not come true.

There is no doubt that Pearl's tenure at UT is at end. It's just a matter of when it's official. They also might be waiting and working on the buyout.

Do the Pearl haters (those who have been so for years now) honestly believe that most UT fans don't want CBP back? Surely you can see past your hat.... I mean hate of the man and the coach to see that most do not feel the way you do! There are a very vocal minority on this board that have been clamoring for his head from day one.... and no it does not have anything to do with wins and losses.

He made a big mistake and has and will continue to pay the price for that mistake, but most UT fans are willing to give him a second chance. It's okay if you don't and never will. All I ask is that you don't paint all UT fans with the same brush. Some of us don't hate the man and are willing to give him a chance to redeem himself.

Your opinion doesn't matter. My opinion doesn't matter. Hat's opinion doesn't matter. It's up to the chancellor the BOT, and Jim Haslam. Either you can't stand to look at Pearl, or believes he should be banned from coaching for life, it doesn't matter. The higher ups have spoken, and they have given him the hook. It's done with.

Look, get off of the "give him a second chance" stuff. If we keep him, we are going to be hammered by the NCAA. How in the world some of you guys can't see that, I have no idea. It's not as simple as just forgiving the man.
