You pivoted the point. OP had literally nothing to do with any side openly embracing violence. If you had said they claimed "silence is violence" in OP, I wouldn't have said anything to that. You were making fun of talking points that either don't really exist in any meaningful way in the first place, or are actually a somewhat reasonable point to make.

damn, I went over this in detail. If he said "group" it would be totally stupid because of course they are a group. They're not really an organization. At the very least it's debatable, whereas their being a group is not debatable. If you had the quote right from the start, I wouldn't have been incredulous that somebody said it.

Congressional operations resumed shortly after. So the big deal was the press as usual and their plethora of BS stories. Now all summer long there were plenty of killings, muggings, burnings, thefts, etc, but those because of the originators weren't insurrectionist or terrorist - just exuberant demonstrations mostly by people claiming some lives are more important than others.

That jacket was given to me by my ex. His dad actually gave it to me. I had no idea the weight that the Confederate flag held whenever I was wearing it. I just wore it for that one night.

They said instead of banning his music, they would let fans decide. I don't even listen to country but found the poll and voted yes. **** cancel culture. "Yes" was winning by a landslide btw. I skimmed an article recently that compared what's going on in in the entertainment industry with the blacklisting of the early 50s. Joe McCarthy's antics directly affected very few in Hollywood directly, but the Hollywood kneejerk response and overreaction cost far more career damage. It's the same kind of overreaction now; activism results in people willing to over commit to the stupidity of the day to avoid looking too complacent. Nobody seems to have learned a thing from Nazism or if mommy is a commie, you gotta turn her in. With the Biden election and the podium turnover to the left, this stuff is going on steroids. The incredible part is that the left part of the spectrum - the touch feely people - the "sensitive" people - the "inclusive" people, are actually the most intolerant and most blood thirsty people on the face of the planet.

To drive your point home, imagine being someone that espouses that mental illnesses need to be checked, suicide prevention is important, there needs to be no public stigma around mental disorders, all in the interest of ensuring everyone feels they have value and importance. Then imagine you openly and broadly encourage at the same time the descent into gender dysphoria, rife with its increased level of mental instability, a significantly higher chance of suicide, and all the other complications that come with fundamentally altering your mental state and physical body. Then also consider that these same people openly support the total legality of every substance imaginable, damn the damage- both mental and physical- to the end user. One cannot be in favor of positive mental health and personal growth and hold modern leftist beliefs without being a total hypocrite. Real humanity and love looks nothing like what the media and one end of the political spectrum tells us it looks like.
