The architect of the Capitol, J. Brett Blanton, revealed in a statement on February 26 that “Statues, murals, historic benches, and original shutters all suffered varying degrees of damage, primarily from pepper spray accretions and residue from chemical irritants and fire extinguishers... This damage to our precious artwork and statues will require expert cleaning and conservation.”

The $25,000 request came from the Office of the Clerk, which has been responsible for overseeing the United States House of Representatives’ fine art and artifacts collection since 1988. The collection encompasses 13,000 objects in total, 535 of which are presently on display in the office buildings of the Capitol and the House.

Somebody is certainly lying. $25K to "clean and conserve" does not mean repair and replace. It also doesn't cover who was responsible for pepper spray and chemical irritants. It also doesn't cover the last time these "artifacts" were cleaned and conserved - does some of it go back to the days when smoking was permitted? $25K to handle all that artwork when government purchase orders are always inflated doesn't amount to much. Two of your pictures are the same broken glass from different angles and a third is likely the door the glass was originally in. I'm particularly impressed by the graffiti sprayed everywhere - the Trump variant of "BLM" - yeah, it doesn't exist. The same applies to the slashed artwork and statues pulled down and smashed - yeah, they don't exist either. Notice guys cleaning the couch - with no slashed seats? You tell me how this was a mob of vandals.

Not sure where to put this...so I’ll leave it here.

Piers Morgan leaves 'Good Morning Britain' after ripping Meghan Markle

Likely coming to the USA soon!

Morgan drew more than 40,000 complaints after saying he didn't "believe a word" of Markle's claims of Royal Family racism and bullying in an interview Sunday alongside husband Prince Harry. That prompted an investigation of Morgan by the United Kingdom's "Ofcom," or Office of Communications, under its "harm and offense rules."
