Oh I am aware of the issue of government in general and school administration in particular. As long as we have schools then someone must decide what is taught and what media is available to the students. If we want to replace the traditional arrangement of superintendent, school board and school administrators, and state board of education, what system should we implement? .And now you’re seeing the issue of government in general.

Vouchers, private schools, and home schooling. If half the people want their children reading specific books and the other half don’t, school choice is the obvious answer
Hard no on vouchers. That would make public schools worse and simply give a discount for families of means to send their kids to private schools.
Home schooling? Very few parents have the skill set necessary to effectively educate kids.
So we agree students can easily choose to look at porn at school? So we agree the school does limit access to porn from their wifi?
Access from their phone itself is different because that’s the decision of the parent.

Yet you want to take away their ability to choose to check out an educational book with a nude, non-sexual drawing.
What age do you believe is appropriate for nude images in childrens books?
So basically each kid should be taught exactly what their parents want, no more and no less? And no government schools? I don't see that as workable. What if parents want their kids to learn lies? Or not learn math because it's satanic? Or just don't care what their kids learn or not? And if the only private school in commuting distance is run by Hindus and the kids are Baptists, or vice versa? Given all the barriers to a fully private education system, we will have government schools for the foreseeable future, How do we define the curriculum if not under the current setup? Parents should certainly have input but a small group of parents, of any political bend, should not be able to set the agenda.Vouchers, private schools, and home schooling. I'm not advocating for banning the book, I guess you are. Parents should have the right to decide if they wish for their child to check out that book.I want such power to lie with parents. You restrict the wifi at your school. Parents have the same ability with the phone of their children, but don’t always do so.
You’re wanting to remove that power and give it to a school board.
