Do you want Bruce Pearl to be Head Coach at UT next season?

Pearl, Will be suspended for 2 years from the NCAA. He will become a NBA Scout or Assistant Coach and may become a division 2 or 3 head coach in 3 to 5 years.

Hope I am wrong, but based on what the NCAA has done in the past with other coaches, this is what will happen.

Strongly disagree. Look at what the NCAA did to Calhoun for similar violations, and the SEC and UT punished CBP much worse.

What the haters do not post is that the letter said on the 14th or thereabout. Do you not want to find out the exact date or if it happened at all.

Absolutely. But it sounds like it did. For me, this will determine which side of the fence I'm on.

Before everyone burns Pearl at the cross I would like to see how UT responds to this allegation that he committed another major violation. Following other people's thoughts on this he's guilty until proven innocent of this new violation.

Yes. He spat in the university's face if this violation is true. This has basically been a lost season anyways, so it wouldn't have matter who would have coach.

Lost season? Not like we're going to make the NCAA tourney again...every SEC team makes it...

They will discuss the "September 14th violation" and ask, "Should Pearl be fired?"

Said they will discuss the violation he may have committed 4 days after his apology to the NCAA for lying. And if he did should he be fired. Can't wait to hear what Skippy says...

We self reported, and I believe everyone thought it was a secondary except the NCAA which has to make you think something is not kosher with the ordinary "bump" rule.

I think the University would be be served if Pearl just mans up and resigns, but it will never happen

In other words, the loyalty of people to Bruce Pearl runs deep. Unlike Don Devoe, who has ripped Pearl and doesn't understand his support, Bruce Pearl is a winner. UT will keep him even as a practice-only coach because he is a winner and because his fan support is strong. Pearl is a special person, and the UT administration and fans recognize that. That's my prediction: that UT stands by Bruce Pearl even if he is banned for a year. I don't know very many other coaches who could command that kind of loyalty. Maybe Bobby Knight.

According to the gvx article the university did NOT report the violation because it wasnt deemed so by the compliance dept. Was this a mistake in the article oe what? Just on the surface it appears we dont know the whole story here

As the presure mounts and it's not looking good for Bruce I think the race card should be considered. You never know.
