The Dallas Cowboys football circus thread

No, I liked Shrek. I really don't understand the fascination with guys who have played ONE season and are suddenly the next HOF quarterback for ANY team. And no, I don't count the year at Blinn as a season.

Vol fans would be worshiping Cam Newton if Kiffin would have landed him instead of Simms from the JC ranks. But that is another conversation not meant for an NFL Forum. I agree that the Cowboys have much more pressing needs than QB, but I just figured I'd post the link. It is somewhat interesting. I am really hoping for Prince though.

Dez will be the next Irvin, on and off the field. He's wearing the right number. I'll love and hate him his whole career.

The best of both worlds. A Cowboys thread in a Vols forum. Given Jerry's disregard for the offensive line on draft day this should be the year it gets an upgrade along with the defensive backfield.

I am excited at the fire new DC Rob Ryan will inject in the defense.

With a national following come the fans and haters. It takes thick skin to be a Cowboys fan.

Much like the Volunteers, the pros from Dallas have a lot of upside in 2011 (provided their is a season).

After reading some of the less informative posts I know who ignore in the future. Learning things everyday.

Cowboys to the SB in 11'.

Does Dez have a love of hookers and cocaine?

Has he stabbed a man with a pair of scissors?

He's still young. Got plenty of time yet.
But seriously, the guy has Irvin type ability and Irvin type bravado. I hope he can keep it together. He could be one of the best ever to wear the star if he does.

Packers already won the '11 SB. :whistling:

At this point, I'd settle for anybody to the SB in '12.

He's faster than Irvin and he can help out in the return game (which is something Irvin never did). He could end up putting up better numbers than Mike.

Dez is a stud.

No one but Mike could pull off a mink coat to court though.

The majority of the mock drafts have Dallas selecting USC OT Tyron Smith with the 9th pick in the NFL Draft. I have seen a few others that have Dallas trading down to about the 13th or 14th spot and selecting Colorado OT Soldier or B.C. OT Costanzo. Either way it looks like the experts are predicting Dallas to go with an OT in this year's first round. I don't know if I agree.

In keeping with the facts you have to win during the 2011 regular season to qualify for the playoffs in January of 2012. Still want Dallas to win in Indianapolis on 02-05-12.

If both of the top CB's are gone I like a move down to select an OT. San Diego is a prime trading partner. The Chargers have two seconds and thirds along with the eighteenth pick.

I agree. I want Dallas to select one of the top CBs as well. I don't see us getting Peterson unless something crazy happens, but if he or Prince is falls to #9 then Dallas needs to snatch them. I really don't like the idea of drafting an OT this year though. Doesn't seem like there are many great ones and I'm not sold on Tyron Smith. I wouldn't mind us trading down to the teens and picking up a DE if both CBs are gone.

Said it before, I'll say it again. I think Prince Amukuamara will be great solely because he has one of those unusual great NFL names.
