The Dallas Cowboys football circus thread

Hes like a poor man's AP. Huge and fast and when he gets a head of steam hes a freight train. I just hope they keep giving him the ball 20+ times a game. I think Dallas is like 11-0 when he has that many carries.

He needs to cut back on fumbling.

He keeps running hard like he has so far he'll put up yards, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get hurt by week 8 also.

Cowboys offense looks dominant. Romo looks sharp. Defense is playing amazing given the circumstances.

Where are the haters now?

Too soon, IMO. They are doing a really good job right now, but I need to see more. The next 5 games will tell whether the Cowboys can be considered a legitimate threat in the NFC (They've beaten a pathetic Titans team, a Rams team with a 3rd string QB, and a Saints team that has a bad defense and are 0-3 on the road).

Time will tell. They have probably the most complete offense in the NFC. O-line is young, huge, and nasty. Great QB, elite WR, RB, and TE. Barring a few more injuries on the defensive side (which is a huge possibility) its hard to see anyone else winning the division imo.

Traveled to the Sunday night game. Wow, what a beatdown! You guys have a extremely clean and nice stadium though. The acoustics are awesome.

My cousin was the biggest Cowboys fan you would have ever met. I don't think he owned a shirt that didn't have his favorite team on it.

He passed away last week, and we had the wake during SNF. It was pretty fun to watch with like 50 people at his Mom's little house. We had Giants and Redskins fans rooting for the Boys that day.

So the Cowboys are going to win the division now? lol

They went 5-1 in the division last year. They are obviously an improved team. No one else in the division looks any good.

And yet they still haven't made the playoffs since 2009. They have only managed to beat two terrible teams in the Titans and Rams and managed to beat the Saints who are terrible on the road. Only saying that you might want to slow down crowning them champs just yet.

Have you watched the games? Their running game and o-line is dominating people. Murray leads the league in rushing by alsmot 200 yards. The Eagles have no o-line or running game. Nick Foles will be extremely lucky to make it through mid season. He is getting crushed multiple time a game. The Giants played better this week but still have a lot of questions on their roster. The Skins obviously are really bad all around.

Of course I have watched their games.........lol I have the ticket and pay close attention to the other NFC East teams.

We get some help back with Lane being reinstated and another coming back from injury, the line will be fine. The only thing I can agree with you on are that the Skins are terribad.

Keep in mind though, your awesome running game has come against three teams who are absolutely terrible against the run. Also you forget that you still have Romo as your QB.

Move over Dallas currently the raiders the soap opera or jersey shore of the nfl both on and off the field.

One quarter through the season the cowboys are a impressive 3-1, and their defenses isn't the abysmal one that many believed or suspected it would be.
It goes to show you how unwise it is to put stock in last years stats.

Ill take Romo over any QB in the division right now.

Let's pump the brakes on the Dallas defense. It looks good right now, because the offense is able to stay on the field for a long time with the running game. If their running game starts failing, and the defense has to be on the field longer, they will be exposed.

I know I'm not overreacting as there are still 12 games and a lot can happen in 12 games or 13 weeks as there are 17 weeks in the nfl regular season.
We've seen this movie of cowboys starting great then choking, or getting your hopes up before letting people down as the last 3 seasons they're the great mediocre team 8-8.

One quarter of the way through the season the cowboys have overachieved considering how pathetic in week one they looked.

Well I wouldn't say pathetic. The defense only allowed 7 points in the second half. Romo was not himself that game, obviously still nursing his injury. He looks much improved in his mechanics since then.

Murray is being used more with a balance of run and pass, winning time of possession, and romo has avoided making the bad decision passes or trying to force something.
The boys offense isn't shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers which you saw multiple times in week one that made it damn hard on the defense as those were deep in cowboys territory.

Ok pathetic overstating it when the rams in week one fit that far more.
A bad performance by the boys, yes but keep in mind I don't think with the large lead the 49ers were continue to use their playbook.

sorry for your loss bud. i can only hope he was watching the game from above, delighted in the way the boys dominated, and even more so at his family bonding over a game with him in mind, even in spite of the tragic event that had brought them all there to begin with. stuff like that just warms my heart.

Topnotch indeed to have fans of rival teams rooting for a major division rival.
We may all cheer for different sports teams but as humans we shall all experience loss plus sadness. The death of someone we love whether family or not is a universal form of loss.

For death is very somber and sad still a natural part of life which can bring people together and remind us to make the most of the time we have.
