The disney insanity continues

Specifically?

That politicians use their positions to retaliate against people or corporations that don't toe their line.

Remember the outrage when the IRS was used as tool by the Obama administration to go after conservative groups?

The whistling past the grave yard is deafening by right on this one by everyone except @hog88 . Was that too much blah, blah, blah for ya?
He did recently admit to being far from illiterate so everything may be “ blah blah blah” to him.

I guess for me this depends on the level of “problematic” but I think attractive, attention seeking women have always been frowned upon by other women. But it’s more like an eye roll, not a cancellation.

Side note: In the book, she’s a murderous little bitch, so Disney’s beef is with themselves on this. The modern tinker bell as a lovable character isn’t much like the original work, she’s Disney’s creation.

Maybe. I mean you can’t bang over The grams so isn’t being slutty in instagram just taking pleasure from knowing men are looking at you?
Sure. It would not have been considered appropriate for a proper lady to strut about, parading herself around.

Then using the term “conscious” is I guess what feels different here.

There is no mention of any outward manifestation (bullying, harassing, generally slut’n up the place) though. Just the internal recognition of her own beauty.

So Disney got over top of their skis and demanded that a law that was passed by the Florida legislature and signed by the governor be repealed or they were going to do everything in their power to overturn it because they have letter employees that didn't like it. Tough ****, and now Disney has to play by the same rules every other company does. Cry me a ****ing river.

Or they observed it and then made up a story to attribute it to God. Not much different than believing the sun was the wheel of a chariot driven across the sky
Wait... that was 'science' Therefore... it must be true, right?

And all this time I thought it was a flaming ball of gas, not dissimilar to any democrat.

So sticking it to Disney for revenge is less important than having a State government that is openly tyrannical? Well, now we know where your priorities lay.

His constituents are about to get saddled with unimaginable debt all because DeSantis wants to look tough to his base over a social issue. Newsflash, his base in Florida is shaking their heads in disbelief.

To many Floridian's he's not looking tough, he's looking childish and small in this fight. Heck, I actually like the guy and think he's done a pretty good job but he keeps shi**ing the bed with these nonsensical squabbles.

And make no mistake, the Florida legislature is a trained poodle for Ron, they're no harbingers of quality and fairness. These bozos are having to be made to go back into session because they blew off the most important agenda item that's passed through their chambers in 20 years.

Really? Who has a nonsensical battle? The vast majority of Floridians support this bill.

The Reedy Creek dissolvement bill?

Are you high? The only people who support this bill are the ones who don't understand what its impact will be, or understand why a butthurt politician retaliating against a differing opinion is tyranny.

Okay, explain exactly how the repeal of the Reedy Creek bill will hurt the average Floridian? Don't make stuff up either.

If the district is dissolved, that debt would become the responsibility of the taxpayers in Orange and Osceola counties, Mr. Ramba said, but the coun-ties would likely set up a new special taxing district to tie bond payments to the tax revenue produced by Disney’s properties within Reedy Creek. Also, some of the taxes and fees Disney currently pays Reedy Creek would go instead to the county governments.

Florida Bill to End Disney’s Special Tax District Heads to Gov. DeSantis for Signature

This pissing contest just increased the tax burden of the citizens in two counties by $1 billion dollars. DeSantis is an ass. He is a pandering POS.

Oh well, I live in Tennessee, so I don't care how much it costs anyone living in Florida.

How do you figure that? Disney will fund the burden with taxes now they weren't paying.

What burden? They're funding the burden now, this will turn it over to the counties. Disney currently maintains it's own roads, provides it own power, wastewater treatment. Orange county would be responsible for this starting in 2023. It appears they'd also have to assume the $1 bil in debts that Reedy Creek currently has.

Well, didn't Joseph Smith teach it is Jackson County, Missouri?
I would have to go back and read what Joseph said about Independence, Missouri. I know he claimed a temple should be built in Independence and that the Church of Christ Temple Lot owns the property that Joseph claimed it should be built. The Temple Lot church has refused to sell it to the LDS church or any other group.

If they arent paying taxes and then they are what is the net effect?

They pay Reedy Creek $105 million per year in taxes. They don't pay for their own roads, sewage, power plants, police, fire department, etc with pixie dust. If the law takes effect that then becomes the burden of Orange county.
