Webster's only updates annually so I can't keep up..

Recently Trump said Mo Brooks was woke because he didn't believe the election was stolen. Is that today's definition?

DeSantis took money from Disney knowing the Reedy arrangement was in place.

Disney's half billion in actual tax breaks from Florida is still in place.

I'm looking forward to how this entire scenario plays out. Since I hate gator fans for their nasty ass attitude, I almost hope that the entire blue sector of Orlando gets hit with a huge tax increase and Disney's gate revenues go down by 25%.

So I'm guessing that Disney doesn't want that little fact known when the Reedy Creek deal is cancelled? Disney has stuck its wanker in an alligators mouth and they know it. There is a reason they have gone silent over this issue, and they know that they poked the bear and the bear poked back. I love it when a big corporation decides it can interject woke ideology into a state and the state fights back.

Been public knowledge a long time, Florida approved it and unlike Reedy it's an actual tax break

It's easy to gloat when it's not you who has to pick up the pieces. 1.7m American tax payers in Orange and Osceola county who didn't have a dog in this fight are the ones who are going to get hammered.

Tax break incentives to bring jobs to municipalities is super common - these are contractual in nature. DeSantis didn't go after this because he couldn't.

Let me guess, you live there? I'll wager a bet of $100 to St Judes in Memphis that when this bill comes into effect in 2023 that it doesn't cost the people in the Orlando area one dollar more on their taxes.

The market is going to tank and the next 2 years is going to be ugly. I divested most of my money out of the market two or three months ago, and I'm glad I did. The Biden economy is just getting started.

I think the housing market will tank slow. Low supply will keep it afloat if people have cash. Then the interest rates and prices will create some "hell naws". The American dream of home ownership will continue to fade to large condo/apartment complexes combined with investment company greed.
