It’s close but he appears to stay neutral the entire time before attempted the pickoff to 2B. Would be easier to tell from the sagittal view.Balk or elite pickoff move… ‘24 Ryan Vaughn, JSerra Catholic (CA) #baseball #baseballplayer #MLB | Five Tool Baseball | Five Tool Baseball · Original audio

When we’ve passed away, come find me in heaven so I can introduce you to my grandfather. He never missed a Braves game from 1966 to 2018 when he died. He always had it on radio at work or on TBS at home. How fun was that Dusty Baker segment?!
Man, I could listen to those old timers talk baseball for days!
Grandfathers, papaws, grandpas, man they are the best! I miss mine tremendously! When we’ve passed away, come find me in heaven so I can introduce you to my grandfather. He never missed a Braves game from 1966 to 2018 when he died. He always had it on radio at work or on TBS at home.
When he died, I inherited his baseball collections. He was 5’6 and I’m 6’2” so I can’t wear any of it but the vintage Braves gear I got has to be worth a ton. Stuff from the 80’s era uniforms especially.
I also got 7 full sized totes full of baseball cards dating from the 1960’s to the 2010’s. It’s been 6 years since he died and I haven’t even gone through all of it yet. Each tote weighs 50+lbs or so. I could be sitting on my ticket to an early retirement with all he left me.
All that to say, he was always a fascinating conversation when it came to baseball. Dropped out of school in 6th grade. Was military then a laborer his entire life. By all accounts he was as “uneducated white southerner” as it gets, but he couldve probably beaten Jeff Passan in baseball trivia.
Rambling at this point because I miss the old man, but the dusty baker segment reminded me of him.
Me too now. I remember I was 7 or 8 when he first showed me his more valuable cards and told me they’d be mine one day. I specifically remember he had 5 rookie chipper cards, 3 rookie Griffey Jr’s and a rookie Sanders in football and baseball. I found the book those cards are in and have them stored more properly. The rest of the totes are still in a shed at my grandmas house.Grandfathers, papaws, grandpas, man they are the best! I miss mine tremendously!
I have 5 kids, age 5-24 and I hope one day, I get the chance to be the papaw that mine was to me!
Dang C-Lo, you got me emotional watching the Bravos and thinking about my Papaw!
Also the coolest memorabilia item I have of his isn’t any of the rookie cards even though they’re probably the most valuable.Me too now. Other silly things I remember being the same age and he and my dad co-coached my little league team. My dad was an Angels fan, and they had just won the World Series. Grandpa obviously wanted us to take the Braves for our team name instead. I was the tie breaker and being that young, I just went with the cooler looking jersey so we were the angels lol. He knocked me for that until he died.
