The Dugout - General Topics, Chat, Random Photos and Memes.......No Politics

Maybe Edey will start talking about how he has been dealing with stuff on social media like Angel Reese did to change the narrative into his favor. What a joke. I’m glad Purdoo is getting exposed tonight. Once again, complete teams win championships, not a single player. UConn is doing exactly what Tennessee did to them, they are just doing it a little bit better. Should have been us playing UConn tonight.

Irony is ironic.
I wasn't interested enough to watch the game. I guess there may have been a reason to.
Nah, it wasn't worth it. They still let him get away with stuff. But they only called 15 fouls on UConn vs 33 on us. That was the difference. Purdue is crying that they only got the majority of the calls and not every single one, like in our game. Like Saban, they consider that unfair.

Here's another highlight for you. No-call, of course.

Purdue really sucks. The officials made them all year and then they get slightly fewer favorable calls (but still the balance of them) and whine and cry like babies. F Painter, too. That is all.
I said this very early in the season, the first time we played them. Purdue will go as the officiating goes, plain and simple.
They were not that dominant of a team, in fact, I think Tennessee is a better team, Creighton is a better team, Gonzaga is a better team...
Is it bad that I didn’t watch one minute of the game, nor did I even care? I was content watching baseball.
🤷‍♂️

So what are we looking for tonight? Some young guys playing? Who are we pitching?

Great stuff.
I see Joe Tinker. Are there also Johnny Evers and Frank Chance cards?
Yes sir…in the T206 set there are 3 Evers, 3 Chance and 4 Tinker cards also Mordecai Brown has 4 cards if you are a cubs fans. They were the team of the era when that set came out so they are well represented.

38 Hof comprise a total of 76 cards…minus Wagner and Plank most guys just say 36 for 74

This is a group pic but it’s not up to date as I have switched out some of those Sgc slabs and added a few others. It is always a work in progress because I am chasing full PSA 2 and up completion. Heavy hitters are Cobb, Matty, Young, Speaker, Johnson, Lajoie…Cubs Hof can get up there, especially their portraits, then Collins, Waddell, Keeler, heck its just a whos who of early baseball names. It’s a labor of love!

Some folks may not like a coach behaving like that but IMO it’s needed to ensure your team gets a fair shake. Reason why some win titles and others are only good.

Georgetown, Floyd Knobs …hahaha…close to New Albany
Ah, yes, the Knobs. My uncle drove me through many times on the way to pick peaches at Huber's when I was a kid.
Also been going by there all my life on the way from staying with family in NA to a family farm out off the Blue River.
Pretty country.

The wife and I enjoy taking the boys out on the old RR bridge pedestrian crossing over the Ohio for July 4th fireworks every few years.

That’s great stuff. I’m happy for you. I appreciate Tinker to Evers to Chance as well as the card of Three Finger.

If you haven’t already, check out original sheet music of Take Me Out To The Ballgame. It’s not ridiculously expensive.
