I love figs! Dad's started out as a small transplant from Arky and now takes up about a 20'x50' area and are about 15' tall. It started dieing a few years ago and then BAM! It's back. Gotta beat the birds and the bees to them.I have planted the fig trees.
I believe it will probably be 5 years before I get figs.
If you live anywhere near chattanooga there’s a place called Bryden’s market out past Chester frost park. They sell vegetables and whatnot. They also sell products made on the mountain by the Amish. Fig preserves being one of them. The trees are an itch. But my aunt made the best fig preserves. Ever. Still looking for something comparable.
Are they already sold out at garden centers? Yikes! I hope I have enough (I’m starting seeds for a plant sale in early May.)I tell you what is frustrating. I've got seed pots. I've got good starter soil. I've got seeds. I cannot find the plant labels/tags to keep my pottings straight. On a mission so I can get my seed started. Ugh!

Maybe limp along with wooden popsicle sticks/ tongue depressors until you can find the real things?
I use these and love them. The surface is a bit roughened, not slick, and the ink holds better. I think there’s a 4” as well.Been to Ace, Walmart, and Lowe's so far. Got a couple more local joints to hit up. Lowe's is helpless. The item shows in stock on Aisle 4....Aisle 4 is the paint aisle for crying out loud.
Maybe a florist would have them ??

I buy them at a local independent garden center, not Big Box stores (can never find them), and I’m pretty sure I bought them on Amazon in spring 2020, when they had vanished from stores.
