The eternal QB debate (merged)

ahhhh, cmon fellas, those funny facial expressions were just a representation of a kid having a good day playin football. I dont think for one second he beleived he was a world beater by doing that. He knew who he was playing, Im certain the Kiffin family reminded them of that.

Well, he sure was a man of many words in the WKU post game press conference. Talking about how much simpler the offense was and how everything was just easier....... yet after HE lost the UCLA game, all he had to say was basically, "we're going to go in the film room, see what we did wrong and move on.... it's Florida week no, we're moving on UCLA was last week, we're focused on Florida now....."

Kiffin is employing a new strategy: During practice this week, Compton has been asked to stare down the DB’s and let the WR’s intercept it.

If you pay attention to Cromps comments over the years, you realize he is operating with less than a full load---and most everything he has said sounds like Fulmer coach speak. Truth---like it or not.

Yeah, you're right. I'm pretty sure he finished his degree early... maybe a second.. and is now going to get a masters too. Definitely less than a full load, definitely.

You probably need to hit the K-Mart in Ohio for some underwear soon.

There was nothing delusional at all about what he said. Some of you would blast him just for saying anything at all. I really don't see the point in mindlessly bashing the guy. We just have only played 3 games so far, 2 against very good defenses and the other game, he had 5 TDs. It isn't all his fault we haven't passed the ball well and he may well improve over the course of the season.

Look, he is worst QB in D-1, we know it, he knows it. I cringe through his interviews. He shows no moxie at all. I would have respected him more if he told us to F-off, and that he going to lead us to victory with his arm next game. It is painful for the kid and this is why he needs to go to Kiffin and say "Coach, I need to step aside". For his own sanity. Can you imagine being him living in Knoxville right now? This is a fragile kid, afraid to throw a forward pass. JC, stop while u still have some sanity.

If you call for his head, I'm scared of what you'd do to Pick Nick.

No kid with an ounce of competiveness in him will ever say, "Coach I need to step aside", no matter how bad they are....If he did say that, he didn't need to be in D-1 football in the first place

Nick Stephens isn't much better, if better at all, they don't call him "Pick Nick" for nothing

He has also had 7 INTs! Now who is delusional?

Degree in recreation?---So you put him in Manning's cranial category? Listen, just cause he is your RELATIVE----- You guys taking up for Cromp are operating on less also. We'll see where ole Cromp is in 5 years--with all those degrees.

By that logic and your unbridled love for Stephens, you clearly expect him to be playing on Sundays...

And that, good sir, is an epic fail.

The lack of taking any personal responsibility whatsoever certainly is a classic Fulmer trait.

When talking with my dad about UT football, we've both said that the most irritating thing about him, is when he opens his mouth or acts out when you can see him on TV. He never takes personal responsibility for his actions screwing things up. If you saw the end of the game against UCLA, he's yelling at the receiver, acting like he had the wrong play. Even though if you look at where the ball was thrown, if it was supposed to be a curl, the ball would have either been A) at the receivers knees, or B) 6 yards short of a first down, when it was 4th down.

Remember his comments last year about the fans not being important?

I remember that play and was thinking the exact same thing. Dude needs to admit when he is wrong. I'll be as glad as anybody to see this guy leave UT. :good!:
