this all sounds very below average. are people that starved for comic book content?

Its pretty good so far. Is it better than Winter Soldier or Civil War? Probably not. It’s a serial format instead of a condensed 2hr movie.

I take it you didn’t watch Wanda Vision which was about as different as a superhero show can get.

It doesn't appear to have the budget that Wanda Vision had, but I think the interaction with the leads makes it worth watching. CA looks like a dweeb.

I didn't. I just have very little interest in these secondary characters. There is a reason they are secondary.

The aerial scene in the first episode was cinema quality. Let’s not act like this is the WB budget or something.

Yeah that’s what people were saying about Iron Man, Ant Man, and GotG at one time too.

Vision was always my favorite comic book character. Second favorite, the Human Torch. In the comics, Vision was created from the original World War II era Human Torch. If you’re not a fan as I was from my youth, I can understand your mehness on the subject.

did you watch NF series? ever seen a WB kerfuffle? NF had one good DD season with Kingpin, then **** bed. literally was a periphery character.

Actually, back off that. Bernthals Punisher was solid AF.

All 3 seasons of DD were good. The other shows were pretty meh.

Remind me of Karen’s side story, I don’t even remember it

Exactly LOL!

The content of her back story wasn’t awful but they just spent a lot of time on it devoting a whole episode to a flashback. Basically she was on drugs and killed her brother in a drunk driving accident. They covered it up and said the brother was driving so she wouldn’t go to jail.

I like Vision but I think his arc was covered just fine in the Avengers films. I also didn't watch any of the NF series because I never was a big Daredevil fan and although I did read a lot of Punisher maybe I just have a preconceived notion that TV shows do not do superheroes justice. It all seems so larger than life and I like to see it portrayed as such.

I like the Iron Man films better than the comic book depiction.

Before the movies Iron Man’s most famous storyline was being an alcoholic.

If it wasn’t for being a founding Avenger he was as B list as it gets.
I didn’t see Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark. After the first movie I realized I was basing the casting on the comic book character and I didn’t really like THAT Tony.

Tonight’s episode was really good. Much darker feel than the previous few.

Agreed. They developed him on film very well plus Downey is a great actor especially for that character arc.

Watched the first one last night with my kids. Their first time seeing it and first for me since around 2010 or so.

I think RDJ did a better job of playing up the spoiled rich guy better than it was ever portrayed in the comics. That made him fun to watch.

Also, it’s quite funny to see the “hi-tech” phones of the 2008. Little flip screens and such. Then the MySpace reference that was completely relevant at the time 😂

This is a globetrotting show. It’s also starting to build the empathy for the Flag Smasher’s cause while making Walker out to be a little obsessive prick.

Madripoor is mostly associated with Wolverine. This should get the online mutant theories swinging into high gear.
