If this was normal IU, we are over OSU.

A little unlucky there.
I’m disappointed for selfish reasons. I have season tix and a playoff home game would be off the hook. Plus, my son got his student ticket today, but it looks like he won’t need it. And , TN is allowing 1000 tickets to donors for away (1st round) game. So I doubt I will make the cut and tickets will be over $800 per.

To all VFLs or any, is there any team in these 12 teams we can't beat??? Really??? Bring 1, bring any! Neutral or home! We have the traveling fans, our defense, the running backs that are savage, a damn good coach, solid special teams, a prospering QB and darn better than average special teams.

Maybe I'm a homer but tell me just 1 ????? I'm not truly skeered of any. So, cheer up about who we gonna play. who cares...We "got this".. Seriously, breath.

We made it to the big show just like we wanted. Now, just suck it up and beat anybody they put in front of us, anywhere they tell us to play. It was never going to be easy.
Just think about how far we have come from Kiffy, the nightmares of Doofus, Five Star Hearts and the utter embarrassment of Beldar.

Nah, horse trading going on behind the scenes right now. Big Ten wanted Ohio State in with a home game, sec wanted Bama to get in. One SEC program will get a home game after championship weekend. Probably will be either Tenn or Texas if they lose to Georgia; if Georgia loses they’re going to be a road team. Committee and the two power conferences have the teams they want in now it’s going to be about setting up matchups.

No the way the committee slyly put OSU BETWEEN Tennessee and Georgia there's no way now if Georgia loses that they will fall below both OSU and Tennessee. That one move is what they wanted to guarantee their precious OSU gets a home game.

I want Tennessee to evicerate OSU on their home field but I know how Tennessee plays on the road against tough competition. Tennessee somehow forgets who they are. Total Jekyll and Hyde choke jobbers.

If this game would be at Neyland it's a 100% win for Tennessee. All those B10 homers on the committee were absolutely *****ing themselves thinking of a playoff game at Neyland Stadium.

I have a daughter at UT. She got a student ticket today and was really excited. She is disappointed.

Agree. We beat them at home. Road game against a team narrative that they are “fighting” for their coach’s job . . . Will be hard to overcome.

Idk I’m pretty sure they do fall below us if they lose. Won’t matter bc Texas probably will fall and get that home game. If Penn state loses they will put Ohio State above them as well. Tennessee could be playing at Penn state.

IF.
CLEMSON.
WINS.
SOMEBODY'S
OUT.
That somebody is named Alabama.

And to the main point of this post - call me a moron, but Ohio doesn’t scare me - at all. They are just not very good. No one in the big ten- other than Oregon - I guess - is very good. None of these teams are ‘95 Nebraska or ‘01 Miami.

It’s a shame we couldn’t get Ohio in Neyland though. They’d get killed - I suspect the committee knows this and the ohio AD did some serious politicking to avoid it at all costs.

All that typed, the storm troopers will pound the ball on them until they damn quit. And they will.
They sure ain’t UGA. I feel GOOD about going in there and taking them down.

They havent faced a defense like ours in very long time. Probably the last time they played UGA. Gotta beat the best to be the best. Finally get to see where we match up after decades of watching the other guys play. Let's go!!
Not worried at all about our defense. But our offense will freeze up and lose its damn mind like they always do on the road in big games. We have to be able to score and score big to win these games now.

You guys are so weak. Afraid of even the least competition. I'm personally excited to see us play at Ohio State (a venue we've never played at). And I'm expecting us to win.
I would be excited if it wasn't for how the tickets are being allocated. There will be very limited folks from Tennessee who will be able to get tickets.

UT is in the playoffs and controls its own destiny...

Here's to hoping they pull it together and get it done on the road.

I think everybody can be a "good team" and show it any week. I mean we've gone through the entire season as usual with people discussing who's a "powerhouse" or who is "more complete." It's BS. With NIL, it's been more competitive this year, and pretty much any team in the top 10 or 15 can win it.

So not only did Ohio State not fall below Tennessee but by some miracle of Christ, Georgia ROSE in the rankings after an 8 overtime win to an unranked team at home. I think this was on purpose to screw Tennessee out of any chance to host a game.

Maybe I'm wrong but here's the only possible way it happens now ..

Unless Georgia or Penn St lose by 30 or more points.

This bodes terribly for UT. Tennessee hasn't beat a top 10 team on the road since 2006, 19 seasons let alone a game as crazy huge as a playoff game at someone else's home field.

A real shame.
If Michigan can beat OSU in Columbus then so can we. Our past doesn’t matter right now.

Fix or coincidence: Auto byes have royally screwed up the playoffs bracket.

#11 is going to end up with easier slate than #9.

Let’s say Alabama lands #11 and Clemson lands at #12. Bama could get matched against #6 Penn State and #9 Tennessee would get #8 Ohio State (Defeated PSU at PSU). Second round Bama would get #3 SMU and Tennessee would get #1 Oregon. How does that make sense?
