The Flash (CW)

Another great episode. So now that it's confirmed that Wells is RF then what is his motive? Why protect Barry?

My theory has been he's Eobard Thawne/Professor Zoom/RF. This version of RF has always been obsessed with The Flash, and pushed him to be a better version of himself, albeit for his own gain. He doesn't have natural powers they are generated by a device. Which is what I think was on the RF suit in his secret lair, the Tachyon device which can absorb the speed force. If you remember he attached the Tachyon particle to the device in the one episode. Maybe he has to gather enough of those to travel back to the future. Plus Thawne is pretty crazy so he's probably enjoying being The Flash's buddy. Iirc in the comics he had a face lift at one point to look like Barry. Of course this is assuming my theory is correct. Lol

What are you all talking about? There isn't an episode listed for this week and my DVR didn't record it. Everything says that it doesn't come back until March 17th.

You missed it evidently. RF and Flash teamed up to take on Grodd.

I was a week behind. Sorry about the confusion.

But Firestorm shook out to be a little more like the comics version personality. Powers are still a little Human Torch-ish right now.

Yeah, I'm not familiar with the comic but I was surprised at the twist when they introduced it on Flash. Had no idea that Firestorm was going to be two people. I've always liked that actor though, the older guy from the tv show Alias.

That's a weird line-up of characters. Only half of Firestorm so far.

Yeah, maybe they intend on featuring Robbie Amell more often on The Flash. If you didn't know it already though Ronnie Raymond(Firestorm) and Oliver Queen(Arrow) are cousins in real life. Robbie and Stephen Amell.

The Jason Rush character they introduced a few episodes back was also a version of Firestorm. They may be trying to sign that actor on.

The CW has released the first look at Tom Cavanagh in his Reverse Flash costume -- which you can see above -- ahead of the March 17 return of the show.

When Tom Cavanagh proclaimed at the 2015 winter TV press tour that he is, in fact, Reverse Flash on "The Flash," many were stunned. While it was hinted at in the fall finale episode, there was no confirmation one way or the other. Now that the truth is out, the story is just beginning. That revelation is building toward a twist that is likely going to catch most viewers by surprise.

"The twist that I was given be [executive producer] Andrew Kreisberg a couple months ago about the Reverse Flash and what we're working toward at the end of this season blew my mind," star Grant Gustin tells Zap2it. "I've seen the theories online. No one has this theory."

Naturally, Gustin can't spoil what's going to happen. However, he wasn't the only one shocked by what happens.

"I'm semi-nonchalant when I read these things. We're making a TV show; it's not brain surgery," Cavanagh says. "I was sitting on a plane in the middle seat and literally my seatmate was like, 'Are you all right, dude?' because I'm like, 'What the f***?!' I'm on the show, and that's only episode 15."

Cavanagh makes clear that Wells may not be the villain of the story, even though it seems that way now. "The nature of the Reverse Flash ... it's just not solely archenemy territory," he says. "Barry Allen and Harrison Wells mesh often, and when they do the result is often The Flash increasing his potential. The result of that is good for Central City, hence good for humanity, hence good."

At the moment, Barry is none the wiser to the secrets Wells is hiding. That won't always be the case. "Barry completely trusts Wells at this point. Not just trusts him, but is grateful," Gustin says. "He'll eventually start to get suspicious."

Is there anyone else hiding a secret related to Reverse Flash? "Eddie Thawne is involved in a way in which you'd never expect," Gustin teases. Comic book fans knows there's more than one Reverse Flash in the DC universe, including Eobard Thawne. Perhaps there's more than one man out there suiting up in yellow to take Barry on.

"The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

There ought to be a Marvel-DC crossover "The Flash vs Quicksilver". Superman vs The Hulk would be cool also.

They both happened, albeit very quickly, here....

A better Hulk vs Superman was done a few years later here....

Then there is a pretty good fan made animated version on YouTube. There's no story. Just smashing. It's in four parts...

There's a lot more than that.

The original 2 crossovers from the 70s were Superman vs Spider-Man and Batman vs Hulk. Both were sold in what was called Treasury Editions that was an oversized format. (a Superman vs Muhammad Ali came out around this time as well).

Then In the 90s Marvel and DC crossed over quite a bit. There was the big event series I posted above and the fans actually got to vote on the outcome of the match-ups. The end result was a series of one shots called the Amalgam Universe where mash-up characters like Super Soldier (Captain America and Superman), Amazon (Wonder Woman and Storm) or Dark Claw (Wolverine and Batman) There was even a short lived series featuring a character that both companies co-owned who could go back and forth between the two Universes.

Then there is a plethora of one-shots like Batman/Spider-Man, Batman/Daredevil, Green Lantern/Silver Surfer, and so on. It was very common for bout 7-8 years. Batman got the most milage. One of my personal favorites was 1940's Batman and WWII Captain America.

The last one was a JLA vs Avengers mini-series that came out around 2000. Since then the companies have stayed pretty isolated from each other.

Dominic Purcell Joins Arrow/Flash Spinoff

Dominic Purcell Joins Arrow/Flash Spinoff

EXCLUSIVE: Another popular recurring DC character from the Arrow-Flash universe is boarding the CW’s proposed spinoff from the two superhero dramas. The new Flash villainous duo of Captain Cold/Heat Wave will be staying intact as Dominic Purcell has joined Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Victor Garber and Caity Lotz in the superhero team-up show from Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim.

Purcell will reprise his role as Mick Rory, a pyromaniac who finds an outlet for his obsession with fire when he teams up with Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and becomes the villain known as Heat Wave. The new project, eyed for a midseason launch next season, extends the Flash reunion of Prison Break stars Miller and Purcell and would mark the first series regular gigs for both actors since the cult Fox drama.

Routh and Garber also are set to reprise their popular Arrow/Flash characters — Arrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom (Routh) and Flash‘s Dr. Martin Stein (Garber). Because her Arrow character Sara Lance was killed off, with her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) taking over as the Black Canary, it is still TBD whether Lotz will play the same or new superhero on in the spinoff.

Speaking of Flash dynamic duos, Garber’s Stein is flying solo on the new show for now as Robbie Amell, who has played his other half, Firestorm, did not sign for the project. As we previously revealed, the spinoff series will include three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series.

Flash and Arrow trailers released thispurcellflash1 past weekend tease upcoming episodes of the two series featuring the Atom, Captain Cold and Heat Wave. You can watch them below.

Berlanti and Kreisberg, who also co-created The Flash, executive produce the new series alongside Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter for Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Prods.

Don't see how they can do Firestorm without Robbie Amell unless they recast the character.
Also still know idea what they have planned for Caity Lotz?

You would think there wasn't going to be a season two with everything they are dropping!!

They ain't holding anything back!! WOW!!!!
