The general USC debate thread (merged)

It is possible that Bush could be ruled ineligible and be forced to return the Heisman. The school could be forced to forfeit its national championships from 2003 and 2004.

That would really suck for them.
BUT I couldn't help but :eek:lol::eek:lol: alot, secretly of course.

No way they do the no TV...that would punish the schools playing them.

I would guess No Bowls or BCS for 5 years with loss of Schollys...which would still destroy them.

Kiffin might be rethinking that whole dream job thing right about now...:dance2:

When asked about it on the Dan Patrick show, Pete Carroll said they he would be "suprised" if any punishment came from this investigation. He went from happy and energetic when speaking about the seahawks to slow and thought out when DP turned about half the interview into NCAA probe questions, kind of sounded like DP suprised him and stuck to his guns asking tough questions.

This article isn't worth the paper its printed on.

All of you guys hoping USC gets the death penalty are making Vol fans look bush league. You're like a bunch of vengeful ex-girlfriends.

Disagree. College football fans all over want to see USC go down. UT fans just want to see it more.

Does anyone know if the NCAA is looking into the current USC coaching staff's contact with UT recruits and early enrollees? And if so, at what point is the investigation at this point? Is this going to be included in the current investigation? I haven't heard anything else on this since it happened. Thanks

^ Everybody else wanting to see them go down is just your run of the mill player-hating.
Agreed. But you're kidding yourself if you think any fan base that is extremely passionate about football would be any different in this situation.

They can't punish USC too severely for that because it doesn't prove a lack of institutional control on SC's part.

We are all kidding ourselves if we think anyone except the great prophet is orchestrating this. We scoffed at his words before, but he was proven. Now, he decrees that shadows shall descend upon LA.

1. The punishments are not a leak, they are predictions by some guy on twitter as a reply to someone saying a wrist-slap.

2. USC won't have to forfeit any type of title as their national titles are not sanctioned by the NCAA.

Good grief, this "article" has about as much merit as a MHF rambling about Florida winning the next 27 men's bball titles.

The source is not the usa today article, it is just backing up my previous statement. I heard this information from someone very close to all that is going on. The "leak" by the NCAA investigator is what spurred that USA today article. I think on Friday you'll see it is not "meritless". But thanks for your incredible contribution.

I guess you took it straight from Twitter?

NCAA puts USC on 5 years probation, loss of 21 scollys, forfits 2 national champoinships. Announcement on Friday.

I have no source, just read a comment from a poster on TOS. Anyone else hearing this?

That info came from a LA Times sports guy. Still speculation at this point.

Hammy was in Phoenix for a reason.

yes we look and sound like a girl that was ditched before prom wishing the worst on our ex, and you know what I am, I love the vols so much that when our "savior, leader, the guy who was going to take us to the next level again" left for higher ground, you are darn right I was displeased and wish ill upon him and his new dream girl. I want them fall flat on their face in a mud puddle as they are about to enter the "prom". Darn right...hope the NCAA knocks 'em down.
