I forsee a decent (5-7) amount of scholarship reductions and a one year bowl ban. They don't have enough to give them the Bama treatment. If they do I will be very surprised.

Cannot tell you a source just yet because of it's sensitive nature, but there has been a leak by an NCAA investigator.

USC will apparently be going on probation with an announcement coming this Friday. Looks to be getting the 5 year probation death penalty if the leak is accurate. That would mean no tv, bowls, and loss of 21 schollys.

This is all stemming from problems going back a while, nothing in particular that was done recently. I am definitely taking a wait and see approach, but I will be ecstatic if this is the case.

I hope this post brings a little sunshine to your day.

This would be sweet sweet poetic justice and it would truely make me believe that Karma really does exist.

But having said that I would highly doubt this will be true.

If true would that be 21 schollies a year or 5 the first year, and 4 schollies for 4 years following that? Doubt it anyways.

Pretty sure PD2s source is a writer for the LA Times. I was listening to finebaum yesterday, or maybe bill king on rivals, either way they had a guest on saying that a writer for the Times had mentioned these possible sanctions were what USC was facing.


It's really bugging me I can't remember where I heard that info, but that was what was said verbatim (the penalty USC is facing).

Although I think they will get a slap on the wrist. I find it hard to believe Carroll would have left if he had an idea of just getting a wrist slap. I hope and pray they get more. :worship:

Can someone please tell me the last time the NCAA gave no TV as a punishment?

As much as I would giggle is this is true, I'm not getting my hopes up.

No way they do the no TV...that would punish the schools playing them.

I would guess No Bowls or BCS for 5 years with loss of Schollys...which would still destroy them.

I rescind the no TV, that's what I heard from my source earlier. However there is no mention of no televised games in the article. I told you guys, this information was suppose to be very discreet on Friday, but an NCAA investigator close to what is going on leaked it to the press.

1. The punishments are not a leak, they are predictions by some guy on twitter as a reply to someone saying a wrist-slap.

2. USC won't have to forfeit any type of title as their national titles are not sanctioned by the NCAA.

Good grief, this "article" has about as much merit as a MHF rambling about Florida winning the next 27 men's bball titles.
