That mentality is cancerous. Cops have a dangerous job. This is why. I personally think it’s a disgusting way of thinking to not AGGRESSIVELY attack the problem in an effort to protect the life of the dealer while having no regard for the kids he may come into contact with within the time it takes to become “easy”Want to know something? The second you arrest guy 1 guy 2 steps up and takes his place so you might as well arrest guy 1 as safely as possible.

Because the war on drugs has been a massive failure. To pretend that continuing to fight it is beneficial is cancerous. It's such a wasteThat mentality is cancerous. Cops have a dangerous job. Name one innocent bystander. I know they exist because it happens but I guarantee you don’t know the first name. It's more cancerous or insane to keep doing the same thing over and over for decades expecting different results.
It's not the life of the dealer I'm concerned about, it's the innocents that get caught up in you guys trying to arrest that dealer that I'm concerned about.
You think they don’t belong? Or they should’ve been taken the easy way? There would less of them in prison and more in the streets saying “Hey! Come here” to your little girl or boy.
With that I’ll respectfully bow out. Enough saidThe point just flew right over your head. You can't arrest and imprison all the drug dealers. There is too much money in the trade, someone will always be willing to take the risk.
I don't hide my thoughts and I think all drugs should be legal and sold just like alcohol.
There were witnesses who claimed the police didn't identify themselves. A no-knock warrant means they don't have to. It's part of why I oppose no-knock warrants. And how many parents have killed their own children because they did not identify the threat before open fire? There is no evidence the police hid their identities.
Now now now PJ, don't be raining on 1vol's parade about how the police need a Humvee and helmets and bullet proof vests and weapons to protect you from the drug dealers that are knocking on your door and shooting you.You understand there's a space between militarized enforcement and shooting up in a daycare right? Drug use should not be a crime that ruins someone's life. It is currently that way because there's so much more money in that approach
I don’t mind debating but you guys are refusing to see my side and that’s cool because that’s the way it is. I understand where you all are coming from but you just don’t understand the full price of your suggestions in today’s world. Now you’re starting to paint me as some kind of Kamikaze and that couldn’t be farther from the truth.Say what? He was an innocent man who's house was raided with a no-knock warrant. Maybe if the police were required to knock and announce they would have figured out they were at the wrong house.

Read post 469. It was a good conversation until we start going there. There is a lot I agree with and a lot I don’t on your side. My point is you nor I know HOW to get to a better solution.I see your side and I agree that there are times when the police must act forcefully and decisively. We just disagree on when those times are.
