The goalposts coming down again is okay by me.

Unnecessary this time. It just says Bama still resides in our head and we don’t expect to win. They shouldn’t and we should.

It wasn't the students who started it. The players parents in the endzone field level seats started running onto the field while the PA announcer kept with a stay off the field message. That went on for over 5 minutes then people in the SW corner started going over the wall and after a few minutes of that the students started. Probably almost 10 minutes before any students hit the field.

Then everyone was sort of just milling around for a while before any attempt was made at the goal posts. All of the Bama players and staff headed for the tunnel even before the clock went to 0 so I'm not sure we'll get finedView attachment 689098
Oh we will get fined, there’s no doubt about that.

My son went down with the students. Everyone was amped and excited, not quite 2022 level but close. I asked my son why he went down and he said “dad, I’ve only seen Tennessee beat Bama twice in my life, you always said it was the biggest game…” and I can’t argue that logic. (He was 1 in 2006, so that doesn’t count).

From where I sat, parents and guests went out first and then it was a slow trickle from everywhere else until the students started flowing down. Not a game I would have rushed the field, but I completely get why some chose to do so. Was just as excited tonight as I was in 2022, as we all should be anytime we beat our biggest rivals. Just glad we have plenty of reasons to get excited for our team.

Randy will cut the check and that will be that.

No to raising tuition! I have to pay two out-of-state tuitions and want to retire eventually!
Well, tell your kids to do better. Hike the hell out of it to pay this time, and ban them for stupidity when bama comes back. Clearly we need smarter fans in the stands.

Get over yourself. They made more than enough to pay for the fine with pre-halftime beer sales.

There was no need. But folks gonna do what folks gonna do. Did they carry them farther than Vandy did? If not, then they should have left them alone.

I am ok with storming the field but leave the goal post in tact. 2022 was special breakthrough. Going forward though we should win our fair share of these games.

That being said I can't afford to go to these games at 300$ and up a ticket. Those that pay that may feel like they want their moment.

Cops were super aggressive this time about them not getting out of the stadium. This wasn’t a blood thirsty crowd. Crowd mulled around for a while on the field with the players then kind of decided the goal posts needed to come down.

This is foolish it doesn't mean nearly the same thing it did 2 years ago. Why don't you tear down Georgia's goal post when we beat them.

Most of those that started it tonight weren’t even those that are paying for tickets. I’m in X5 and watched the parents and guests start onto the field shortly after the handshakes started and a steady stream just flowed out that way from the Y sections. Then you saw other groups going down through the stadium - BEFORE the students even started going out.

Most of the crowd was just standing around and having a good time with players, staff, etc. Then the goal posts came down and then the cops got their dander up and made a stand about the posts. About then I decided to leave and join the party outside the stadium.

They will cut the check for the fine and happily at that. What this win does for the program in so many aspects more than pays for it.

Alabama could lose 6 games and be ranked 7th. Still foolish. Tearing down the goal post is NOT a yearly thing. It's more special than that.

Yes they lost to Vandy, but they also beat Georgia who just knocked off Texas at Texas and will probably be #1 come Monday so they aren’t scrubs.
