I have one of the RAC TP with zip grooves wedges. I haven't played it much, but it is a good club. If I needed wedges and didn't like re head shape so well of the ones I hit, I'd have no problem ordering a full complement of the TM jobs.

I play Titleist Vokey 52* and 56*, I like them. I have also had several Cleveland's, can't go wrong there either.

I think wedges are a lot like putters. They are mostly feel and preference, I don't think brand is that important with them.

Agreed. I hate Ping clubs in general because they tend to feel harsh, but if I changed wedges today, I'd go to the Ping tour wedges. They look fantastic and feel reasonably good.

I hated the Ping Zings but the Ping Eye 2 felt alright. THose are the only Ping irons I have played with. I am a Titleist DCI kind of guy.

I have a set of Titleist 704 CBs and a set of Ping I3s. Both are very good sets of irons. I have been hitting the Pings.

I am about the sell off some golf stuff and the I3s will be the ones that go. That is only because I traded for the I3s and I bought the Titelist new.

If anyone is interested in any of the following send me a PM:

Ping I3 irons
Nike Ignite putter 33'
Nike 56* wedge gun metal/black finish
Titleist 907 D2 10.5* driver

I may have a couple of other things, would have to look.

Sorry to make this a swap and shop post :)

should i get the free lob wedge or the 20* hybrid? i assume 20* is a 3 iron? is that correct?

Warrior Custom Golf: Custom Golf Clubs and Home of the Free Wedge

i don't carry a lob, and have never really played with one. i also have an 18* 5 metal.

edit: went with the lob wedge. i figured i'd have more opportunity to use it in a round than the hybrid, considering i never pull out my 5 metal, 3, 4 irons unless i'm on a par 5. plus, i can still hit my 3 and 4 irons solid.

Any thoughts on reports that tiger went back to his old iron set for his last tournament? I think we've already talked about the driver loft change...

I didn't realize that. I knew the driver had changed.

I guess whatever it takes to win.

Does anybody hit the titleist ap-2 irons. I want to get them. But they are pretty expensive

Got that customized Kia Ma putter yesterday. Great feel, pretty setup but very exacting. Sweet spot is butter, but small misses let you know it, nit by roll, but sound and tactile feedback. I'm gonna be with it for a while. Got the Imola head which is almost the exact design of my Cameron Studio Design 2. I'm happy for a while.

I got the bettinardi bc-2 the other day and am getting used to my feel. I have used the 8802 or similar my entire life.

I have the bc2 as well. I love that style of flange blade. in fact, all of my putters are that style. Bc2 is a little soft, but is a very nice putter with clean simple setup. I just like the Cameron and this new one a hair better. This Kia Ma was also fully customized, which Bettinardi and Cameron won't do without a big ugly process and a bunch of painful shipping.

yeah I have been hitting the putting green all week getting used to how soft the face is. I am in the finals of a putting competition in a couple weeks so need to get ready. Funny thing is u win a putter, so if I win I'll just trade it in and get some other merchandise

Update: I like the Fat Shafts, so I bought 'em. Call me crazy, but I hit them better, and more consistently, than my old MacGregors. They just look and feel better to me at address.

Next move is to have the shaft on my putter (Odyssey White Hot) shortened.

Be careful with that. The head weight is made for a particular putter length. If you're going to chop it or reahaft it, you'll probably need a fair amount of lead tape on it to keep any semblance of touch.

Touch? What is this "touch" that you speak of?

Seriously, though, thanks for the advice.

I did not know that. I cut a 34" Cameron down to 33"....I still putt just as bad :)

Anyone here tried the Top Flight Gamer balls? According to Golf Digest the best ball on the market for under $20.

Even worse, you probably have the standard Cameron head weight, unless it came from the custom shop, further exacerbating the problem. Typically, good putter guys will add about 10 grams to the head for every 1" reduction.

After a very poor round on a tough course last Friday, I am officially back to hacker status. I simply can't play 8 rounds a summer and expect to have any feel for my swing or the ball.
