I've used it twice, in basic mode it's ok

In pro mode you get video flyover with each hole
With Hazard yardage, the normal 100, 150 markers, and you can mark your position to determine layup yardage

Also in pro mode you get additional green info

It will hold up to 50 courses
I just haven't loaded a bunch due to trying to get moved and settled in..

I do like it's size and the graphics are easy to pick up outside

I've played around with a few and the SkyCaddies seem to be the easiest to work with. You can set it up to tell you as much or as little as you want them too.

Don't own one but a guy I play a lot with has a skycaddie. Which kind, I have no idea. It tells you distance to trouble areas and front middle and back to green.

Bpv, can't you get an app on the iphone?

For those of you that play or plan to play any golf in the Myrtle Beach area, I highly reccomend teeing it up at The Founders Club in Pawleys Island, great course with great service, it was built on the same land where The Sea Gull Golf Club used to be but is nowhere near the same track, much, much, nicer now.

I have had a SkyCaddy and a SonoCaddie.

The SonoCaddie was better. However, I sold it and bought a Bushnell rangefinder. I am happy with it.

The SkyCaddie you must pay a yearly fee. The SonoCaddie, you pay a 1 time fee. That was the reason I bought the SonoCaddie.

My Bushnell Range finder is the 1500 version. I wish I had bought one much sooner. The GPS is cool, but there is something nice about exact distance to the flag that you get in a range finder. What I like about the GPS' are that you knew an approximate distance even if you couldn't see the flag.

I have the range fnder as well, I bought one a couple of years ago, and then I ended upi with the uPro as a gift.
The one time I've used the uPro, I kept finding myself using both just to get comfortable with the distances given on the uPro. They were also with a yard or two of each other

Yeah. A friend I play with uses IGolf (I think). We are always close in distance. With the range finder you don't have to worry about not being able to download a course.

I think it is just a personal preference which one you prefer. I like range finders. :)

the iPhone apps apparently suck since they triangulate off of not very tall towers. I ordered the uPro.

when you download your courses go with the pro version
then you get all the bells and whistles

Officials are bumping up the tee times Sunday morning at the St. Jude and sending them off in threesomes. Expecting bad storms again in the afternoon/evening.

Memphis got hammered again this morning. It woke me up at 6am. Southwind's drainage system is getting a workout this weekend.
