That's pretty cool. I can see the similarity with Bettinardi.

Do they have a place to get fitted for these things?

No. You have to already know what you want. You can call Gary at doglegright and tell him what you generally play with or just play around on their site, he's pretty helpful.

It blows my mind how many people don't understand that. My Dad is forever setting up with the toe off the ground and then he doesn't understand why he pulls everything.

Must be an old guy thing. I played with my dad and two of his buddies last Sunday and all three of them are in their 60s and all 3 putt toe up.

What kind of flat stick do you guys use? I have to admit I'm a putter junkie.
You'd hate me then. I putt with an old heel shafted Odyssey 2-ball that I cut down to 33 inches and stuck a monster Super Stroke grip on it. Sometimes I don't know whether to putt with it or try to direct a band with it.

I've been putting with a 3 degree upright, 33.5 inch, Kia Ma Imola putter that has 350 gram head weight. Interchange that with a Cameron Studio 2 that is almost identical, but 34 inches, 2 deg upright and 343 grams. Have a 34 inch Bettinardi BC-2 that I used to putt some too, but it's just too soft in the end.

I'm almost 100% Kia Ma right now. Forces great contact so I have to work on good stroke some. Great feel.

I've got an original HeavyPutter that I take to the practice green ever so often. Keeps me from getting the yips or rushing my stroke. I only practice with it now, it hasn't seen a round in about 5 years.

In-Laws live there, and as an added Bonus my best friend from HS, also lives down there
So we go down a couple of times a year, so the grandparents get to see the kids...

Yesterday afternoon, par 5 16th. Drive in the middle of the fairway, right beside the 200 stake, uphill to the green, bunker on the left. 4 iron hit dead flush, lands in the front fringe, hops forward, 12 feet from the pin. 3 putt par.

I *$&#!in' love golf.

I know what you mean.

Yesterday, par 4 8th, 375. Drive left in the fairway, everybody else goes right side. I am just (whew!) short of a left side bunker, about 140 or so, uphill...but I have good footing. It had just gotten cloudy, slight rain. and it was kind of a white sky so I yelled at the other guys to help me watch my ball if they could. Hit a 7 (just as I was thinking "hit an 8, stupid") pretty sweet but not perfect, nobody can see it because of the sky...I knew it was fairly high...nobody sees the ball until it hits behind the hole about 7 feet and backs up about a foot...and my old pals cheer (because noone could see it for the two seconds or so until it hit the green...not because it was an exceptional shot)...two putt for par (doh!)...but it was fun even though really normal.

Didn't play well myself (one of us was hitting every putt-not me....but the few times anyone did it was a beautiful golfy day in the Rocky Mts. Lovely views and good people. :good!:

I believe I'm finally on the verge of consistency.

Today's round: Bogey, Birdie, Par, Bogey, Birdie, Bogey, Par, Bogey, Bogey

Ok, maybe not

What irons does everyone play with?

I have been hitting the Titleist ZM's with 6.0 Project X shafts for the past two summers.

I had a hard time putting my TaylorMade RAC TP combo set in the basement. Played a lot of solid rounds with them.

I am happy with the ZM's though.

i still play with Titleist 704s. i like them but i think i'm almost ready for something new. maybe that will be my 30th birthday present to myself.

What was the difference that made you invest in this new set of irons?

I don't blame you. It's a great club. I'm still hitting a set of X16 Pros that came out in about 2002.

Absolutely a great club. I just don't know what else I would hit
