The Golf Thread

Love almost everything about it. Diabolical greens however. Place is brutal if you don't have much feel.

Played in the late 90s. Greens were quick and have some serious slope. If you don't know the place a little, it can be hideous.

It's a Ross design, right? Kind of par for the course for him. Pun intended.

I think VOLNBAMA will quickly cure his slice. With his overpowering ability to make friends everywhere, he will receive more great tips than the average person. After he is successful at golf, he might forge ahead by helping to create friendship discount at golf courses throughout this land.

packed up my stuff today for our customs check that is coming up. That included my putting green my uncle sent me and my putter. Bad news is now I'm completely without golf in my life. Good news is I'm oh so close to being home and getting back out on the links. Built my dream set for the 1,928,773rd time today on golfsmith.com. Can't wait to get my new sticks!

Right now I'm thinking:

Titleist 910 D3 Driver
Titleist 910H Hybrid
Ping I15 Irons, 3-PW, Steel Shafts
Still debating between Vokey Wedges and the Clevelands

I'm honestly debating all of them, but that's the gut feeling. I'm gonna hit everything, see what I like and get custom fit all the way around. Also gonna buy a new bag, some new spikes (maybe 2 pair?), new rain gear and a handful of other accessories. Deployment has it's advantages I guess, especially since I'm single and relatively debt free now.

congrats on the pending homecoming..
Good luck with the new sticks...
I prefer the Clevelands...I had always used them, then my wife got me Vokey's for X-mas, and they have a different site line that took me awhile to get use to..
The club face is a little shorter, and the toe is more rounded
