The Golf Thread

Huh oh! Got us an internet bully! Sorry for insulting the intelligence of an all-mighty rules official! Man, you're big time! I totality change my view. I'm aiming for bunkers from now on. Thanks Bill!

you're the one that called me out. I just pointed out that trust me, I know the game. Don't act like you didn't start this.

No matter how deep it is or how it's raked, a bunker is almost always going to beat deep rough. Just the way it is.

Same can be said of how the rough is mowed. Point is that both are there to protect the green, neither should have a lie that a golfer expects to hole.

What is your solution? The lie determines everything no matter where you are on the course. Don't let tv dupe you into thinking sand traps are that easy. For the handful of great bunker shots they show there's probably a hundred bunker shots where pros look like a 10-20 handicap.

i'm not on tour, so no, they don't look like 20 handicaps.

There are guys that play on the PGA tour that hit god awful shots every week that are never seen on tv. You & pappy can disagree for just the sake of disagreeing if you want.

Don't be stupid. They all hit awful shot at times, but there aren't guys toting around +5s that regularly hit 10 handicapper type shots with any regularity at all. None. Anywhere on any tour. The big difference is guys getting it to two feet, bs those getting it to six.

You need to call Jack and tell him to quit watching tv. He's very outspoken about the perfectly groomed bunkers on tour today. He must not realize how hard they are!

They're not that hard from well manicured bunkers. It's a function of maintenance, practice and weapons.

Jacks sour grapes are about his conversion record, which was poor. He was one of the best putters ever and still struggled with conversions because his wedge play was subpar.

Jack is an arrogant, smartass, doucher. All he does is cry about the ball, equipment, & how this & that was different in his day.
