Anybody wearing spikeless golf shoes this time of year? I just ordered a pair of Pumas. I'm hoping they provide enough grip for me. They look freaking sweet, though.

Never used spikeless, although back in the day I used to play in tennis shoes, I prefer the "kung fu" grip feeling

Naw. I haven't played Riverbend in 2 years.

That day, I think I had just went to Blackberry Ridge. Almost stepped on a 5 foot rattlesnake, too.

I have always heard that they got them rattlers over there . It was in bad shape back 4-5 years ago. Not much sand in the traps

It's not in much better shape now, but they're in the process of working on the bunkers. The greens have come in fairly nice this year, though.

Yes, I remember that they had decent greens. That goes a long ways in the discount golf course business. That course actually has some character; I always kinda liked it. That # 7 up the hill was long and difficult

Not sure the Cleveland Classic is gonna knock the razr fit out the bag. It sounds awesome & feels great, just doesn't go where I want it to. I did 9 with the CC & 9 with the Razr Fit.

Won my match play yesterday and had to give 6 strokes and my knee is jacked with a meniscus tear that is caught so I'm pretty happy. Had to go to old man golf, use extra stick and just fire my hands at it. I cant really rotate well on it so hooded the club a little and played low punch shots all day.

Yeah, the CC definitely has a distinctive sound.

7 is not fun. Over 500 yards, steep uphill, have to hit in blind, and it's the toughest green on the course. I wanna slap whoever designed that hole every time I play it.

One unique thing about Blackberry is the 2 toughest holes on the course are both Par 5s.

starting to hit my irons as solid as ever and getting great distance off the driver, 3 wood and hybrid. Just never fails I have 2-3 absolute disasters off the tee at some point. The weather still has the areas around the greens and the greens themselves so inconsistent though.

You guys been reading up on the driving and putting stats the PGA will be using in '15? Strokes Saved Driving and Strokes Saved Putting?

It's a nice change imo. For example, currently, in Total Driving, only 2 holes are used and a drive that goes 315 but rolls a couple of inches into the first cut is counted equally as a drive that's snap hooked in the drink, a missed fairway. That's fixed. And all 4's and 5's are counted.

Currently Bubba Watson is a nice chunk down the list in Total Driving but first in SSD.

It also puts to bed the thinking "Drive for show, putt for dough." Foley has been refuting that saying for a while now. Money list shows that he's right.

Played a 720 yd par 6 over the weekend. I birdied it, so bamacheats could probably triple eagle it at worst.

He's on in 2 with a short iron. His putting must be what keeps him off the tour. You would think being able to 2 putt for birdie over half the holes would be easy so it must be pretty bad.
