I think Bubba is gay and is lashing out because he is keeping it in and feels trapped.

That's what we came up with over a liquid lunch at least.

If anybody likes experimenting with different balls I recommend the Callaway supersoft to try. Great ball for $20 a dozen. It performs well & feels like a balata ball.

Do you sacrifice distance though? About 2 years ago, I just threw up my hands and started hitting Pro V1x all the time. You know what you're getting every time, but $50 a dozen gets old.

No just as long to me. I'm with you on the pro v1s. Great ball but not worth the price. For $20 you won't lose much to give them a try. They're low compression & low spin but they stop & have zip with the clubs they're suppose to.

Low compression could get problematic for me, but for $20 I may give them a shot.

After putting one I had to try them. They are really super soft. I'm like you on the pro v1s so I experiment with different mid range balls looking for similar playability. I've did all the mid range Nike balls, NXTs, gamer tours, e6, etc. I don't notice much distance disparity in any of them. Some feel different. Some spin a little more. Some peel up "gills" or scuff more easily.

I think I could play the NXT Tour S and be fine. The NXT might even be longer than the ProV1. The difference is when I get an awkward yardage with a wedge. I can still spin it with the ProV.

I can spin a pinnacle gold with a wedge. I usually have to scrape the surlyn out of the grooves though. But yea NXT is really good but still around $30. The callaway ss is softer although it may not play better for you.

I got 10 dozen pro V's for absolutely free.

I have a disabled uncle that lives with my family & he pretty much plays the scratch off lottery tickets all the time. For the tickets that don't win anything, my mom keys them in on the computer on some website & you can get reward points and buy things. Long story short she had enough points saved up to buy ten dozen boxes.

hit some sticks today. 95 gram steel shaft. He said my old stiff shafts were either 120 or 130. He could be feeding me bs for all I know. I've always just grabbed a stick that felt good and hit it. All I know is I can't fire off my back foot like I used to and the heavier shaft was making me even later, or I'd overcompensate and flip my hands resulting in terrible hooks.
Getting injured and old at the same time just sucks and causes a total game revamp.

Are you bad, lacking confidence or just cheap?

I'll take all of the above for $200 Alex.

In all seriousness I just think if I'm gonna lose one off the tee box, which is pretty rare, I'd just rather it not be a pro v. I'd usually shoot in the upper 80's-lower 90's so I'm definitely not good.

When's the last time anybody hitting yellow Pinnacles consulted a rulebook?

Ouch. I mean it's not like I'm out on the course in jorts & a cutoff tee shirt not knowing what I'm doing acting an ass on the course.

But if my ball is directly behind a tree or something, my buddies & I usually give each other a club length to either side. Just little things like that.
