Koepka won't agree to midround TV interviews

"To be honest with you, I don't know any other sport that does interviews in the middle of play,'' Koepka said Sunday at the European Tour event won by McDowell. "I know in football you're not doing it unless it's the Pro Bowl. Basketball you're not doing it unless it's halftime. This is the only sport where you're talking to people while they are playing.
"I won't do it. I'm not interested in talking about what just happened or the difficulty of the holes ahead. I'm just focused on one shot at a time, where my ball's at. I understand why it might be beneficial to the fans, but I don't get it.''

Good for him!

I agree with him completely.

I don't blame him, I wouldn't want to be interviewed in the middle of a round either. To be fair about it though, it's the only sport where reporters or commentators are just walking right along with the players. Commentators are walking the course every step of the way, you don't see any commentator standing in the huddle with the Packers asking Rodgers what play he's considering next or commentators standing on first base asking the runner if he's stealing second.
I don't think it's that big a deal since it's usually only during the Pro Am rounds or at somewhat lesser tournaments, they aren't trying interview anybody mid round at The Masters or The Open. Yet anyway, not that they wouldn't if given the chance though.

It's a bit of an understatement to say I'm tired of the rain. Here's a couple of pics of my home course, most of the front 9 is under water today. IMG_2450.PNGIMG_2450.PNGIMG_2450.PNGIMG_2450.PNG

Holy crap. Wow

Yep. There is very large creek that works its way through the golf course and it's been out of its banks for 4 days now. It's been in the upper 50s and mid 60s here lately, but it won't quit raining long enough to get some rounds in, with more rain expected for the next 3 days. As it stands right now, if it stopped raining and the Sun popped out with some 70 degree weather and good strong winds today, it would still be at least 5 days before the course is playable.

Hope there isn’t any damage. Don’t like seeing that. Hopefully better days ahead.

The same thing happened to Link Hills about 20-25 years ago. Number 4 green was completely submerged, as was the fairway from the green back about 200 yards towards the tee. Number 8 fairway had several feet of water. There was no damage after the water receded.

Link Hills in Green County ?

That Cattails? If so that what it looks like every time it rains. Horrible drainage system

Yep, that's her. It can take more rain nowadays than it ever could before, but yeah 3 or 4 days in a row of hard rain and the front can be a canoe buffs dream. I remember before the renovation
of the old Meadowview course and the building of the Marriott, the whole front nine would flood so bad with a weeks worth of rain that you couldn't see anything but water, not one blade of grass.

I have seen that under water before.

I used to play Andrew Johnson regularly and River Trace quite a bit too. I still think Graysburg is one of the greatest hidden gem golf courses in America. Never cared for Cattails.

Graysburg is the best layout in East TN. I was a member there for 18 years and still get down there to play at least a dozen rounds a year. The Chimney Top nine is one of my favorite nines anywhere period, it's difficult but so fun to play.

I like the original 18 holes, but not a fan of the Chimney Top 9. To each, his own.
