The Golf Thread

My carry numbers on the short irons are almost identical. I’m a little shorter from 6 iron up. Probably had as much to do with the ball as anything else.
I still find it hard to believe that I was shooting in the 60’s with Permission woods and Spaulding Tour Edition golf balls……

I hit my Toney Peña driver in the simulator a few months ago, with an old Titleist 384 balata……..I nutted it and it went 240…..total yards.

People just can’t imagine how spinny the balls were lol. There was no in between. You either played with a spinner or you were hitting a rock.

Russell Henley must not be living right.
That was awful. He was leaking oil on the last 3, but those lies on 16 and 17 were flat out evil. I don’t see how they even allow a course condition like that divot on 16 to exist.

It’s hard to fathom there’s a divot like that so close to the green on a par 3. The tee shot on 17 was bad and his bad luck only kept growing after that. That said Lucas Glover seems like a good guy and I can’t be disappointed with a guy like that pulling out a win with all the struggles he’s had to deal with.

It’s ridiculous. At the very least, walk out there and throw some sand in the hole so there won’t be a crater in the middle of the pitching area that turns the hole into a complete game of chance.

The difference in the golf tournament was Henley’s ball took an extra turn and rolled off the false front into a pothole while Glover’s hung up a couple of inches earlier on the top shelf.

That's what I was thinking too. Let the bear have your clubs.
Easy to say, but I'd still be trying to scare the thing away because I keep my keys and wallet in the bag during a round. My range finder and phone are the only things in the cart cubby when I'm playing.
