The Golf Thread

It’s still pretty ridiculous.
With today's technology, getting fitted properly is essential if you desire distance. With a type of shaft that fits your swing, a shaft flex that meets your swing speed and loft matched to your launch angle, you add some real distance to your tee shots

I enjoy seeing the pros on challenging courses. I like the strategy of playing it safe vs the risk of going for the pin. Sloped greens where the ball rolls 10 feet the wrong direction if you come down in the wrong spot or bunkers that penalize mistakes.

Tournaments that are mostly 300+ yard drives and sniper shots at the pin that end up as 5 foot puts are going to have me changing the channel.

I hate watching good golf too.

The lag putt on 18 was a thing of beauty. Takes some stones to give a 59 footer enough juice on those greens, when you need a 2 putt to win.
And those type of things go unnoticed. People have no idea how hard it is to control speed like that from distance under pressure. I knew it was a long putt, but I couldn't believe it when they said it was 59 feet!? You could hear in Paul Azinger's voice how impressed he was.

100%. Much harder than hitting a full shot with any other club
