The Great Labor Force Debate

He once got stiffed from a tip by rich people and never got over it
I bet you had to pay full price for a meal when you were in uniform and never got over it. Or maybe some girl that worked at a restaurant didn't give you the time of day. Had a grudge ever since I bet.

When you guys stop depending on restaurants to prepare your food for you on a regular basis then I will take you up on your offer and agree that they are less skilled jobs. Deal?
I also sometimes use porta potties in public. Should I stop if I point out that emptying them isn’t a skilled job either? That’s how dumb you sound

They aren't skills. It's not a job that requires unique skill

Picking boxes in a warehouse is not a skill. It's a necessary task but not a skill.

I will say your leaps in logic are fascinating. Refilling water isn't a skill so I must be a Biden supporter. Brilliant
It’s amazing. I’ve been told I’ve voted for Trump and Biden the last two days here and yet I’ve never voted for either

Back then, he could just arrest people that gave him a hard time. Now, I suppose he can just fire them.

Why would I care over a $2-5 discount? And why would I try to be with someone who worked as a waitress? I don’t date high schoolers or felons 😂

Every job is skilled and requires skill. That shouldn't even be a controversial statement.
What are you going to do when the Republican Party and conservatism consists largely of the working class and working people of this country?
Did you read the actual definitions of skilled and unskilled labor. There are even examples provided or are economics and business experts and the dictionary wrong as well?

You are the perfect example of why people shouldn't make trips to the liquor store on a Wednesday afternoon.

I think that most people have their own niche if they will just try. For example, I frequent an establishment for lunch because of the bartender/waitress that works there (Miss Tonya). She is sweet as apple pie, and does her job to perfection. She makes a really good living because of this too. Purchased her own home and does anything she wants to do. She was born with her bright, warm, caring personality to do what she does. I couldn't see her doing anything else.

I am a controls engineer that deals with customized automation. I do a lot of PLC programming for specialized situations and it's not easy, you have to really think of all possibilities and come up with something that will work to not only improve production and machine function, but prevent hiccups as well. Not easy, not anyone can do this job.

I could never be a cop though. I would overthink things and cause a huge mess. Hats of to those that can do this job well.

I went to college with a guy that held a degree in mathematics already. This guy was probably the most brilliant person I have ever known. He never missed a question on a physics exam. When we took dynamics together and actually had to build something, he couldn't do it. Myself and the other person in the group had to do this work, and he provided all the calculations and description to exactly what we did. We all have our strong suits.

Is there such a thing as unskilled labor, yes there is, and people do these jobs for various reasons. Some I have known have worked menial jobs for years because they liked to smoke weed and didn't want to pass a drug test. Some just don't want the headache of anything other than pushing buttons. They love that....would drive me insane personally.

There a frustrating point to where some people could better themselves and chose not to do so for various reasons. Drives me crazy. As long as they aren't mooching off the government they can do what they want. That's where I draw the line.

It's not that he doesn't have a brain, it's that it doesn't work anymore. And when it did, it was actually worse.
And now when he can't finish a sentence he all of a sudden has a stuttering problem. Funny how he never seemed to have a stuttering problem early in his political career.

You're wasting your own time and sanity trying to explain this to these guys.
I see what happened here. Self proclaimed VP Ricky was losing his little "private company" debate so he moved on to this topic which hadn't been brought up in months. He managed to mobilize some of the other hyenas like himself in the process.

I can fix myself a drink or a meal like most people can. Not really a hard task. Not something you have to go to school to do or have extensive training on. That’s why kids with no real world experience can accomplish these tasks. There is no skill required. Some can make a good living doing these non-skilled jobs by simply being fake and putting on a face on a daily basis but it is what it is.

Do you ever wonder why literally every other poster here is correcting you and making fun of you and you can’t even man up and discuss the actual dictionary definitions of why you are wrong?
