Do you know our conversion rate on 3rd and short for the season when running between the tackles?

Considering that our total 3rd down conversion rate so far this season is 34.48%...enlighten me as to what it is if it's between the tackles...

In case you were wondering...LSU...converts 3rd down on average of 58.59%

Your issue is with that particular play call.

Also, total percent was not the question. It was about 3rd and short.

Running short yardage plays out of the shotgun ... isn't that like adding more yardage to the short yardage play? 1 yd + 6 yds = 7 yds to go, as opposed to the QB going under the Center 1 yd + 0 yds = 1 yd to go. Am I doing my math and physics wrong here?

I just looked up this definition -> "In the shotgun, instead of the quarterback receiving the snap from center at the line of scrimmage, he stands farther behind the line of scrimmage, often five to seven yards back."

It seems weird to use this formation when you only need 1 yard for a first down.

This has to be the most overrated O-line ever.

Anytime there is talk about our Oline being awesome be wary..I believe the same talk was occurring during the 2005 season...
