The Grill and BBQ thread

New to the egg - I am doing two 9 pound bone in butts starting this afternoon for tomorrow. Do I need to do anything different for two vs. one? Also, just bought the CyberQ :D

Not really. As long as the temperature is the same as with one butt, and you have plenty of air flow around both of them, it should take the same amount of time. It will just use more fuel than with one.

I need suggestions.

I have a 7 pound pork loin soaking in a mojo cuban marinade planned for early supper tomorrow.

I was going to sear the loin at high heat, cram it in a cooking bag on top of veggies, and bake it at 225 for like 5 hours.

Here's my problem. Every recipe I see on the net says no bag, temp around 375 to 400, and cook time around 1 hour at the most( internal temp of 150 to 160).

Anyone here have any suggestions ?

Your plan sounds good. And, unless you or your guests are squeamish, I wouldn't cook a pork loin to that high a temp, especially if you're cooking it in a moist environment, like a bag.

Thought I would try Malcom Reeds bacon wrapped chicken thighs stuffed with a jalopena and cream cheese.
