The Grill and BBQ thread

Going with a friend this morning to pick one up and put together for him.

Smoking Boston butts next weekend for 75 people. I'm thinking 50 pounds raw total weight should plenty. Thoughts?

I'd feel safe with 60. (57.70)

Finally took the plunge on the Costco Prime Ribeye caps. I suppose I'll just put them on the Egg, high heat direct until med-rare+ or so, unless anyone has a better suggestion.

Pics will follow.

They are delicious. I reverse seared them on the grill. Turned out well.

Is this assembled yet? I need you to take a break from using your new toy to post pictures for us internet strangers. Thanks in advance!

Just finished the burn in after this pic. It was a fairly simple build process. Also waiting on the software to update now.

Ok, I'm going to do 5 NY Strips and 2 filets. Got one strip and the two filets in the sous vide for those that like to ruin their steaks by going well done. The others will go over the charcoal in a bit. I'll try and post some pictures.

After.

They were amazing. The picture doesn't really do it justice, but think "filet that tastes like a perfectly marbled ribeye."
