Did a great "compound sauce" glaze for ribs or chicken wings for lack of a better term: sweet baby rays, maple syrup, Worcestershire, and Tabasco.

other than the syrup it sounds pretty good,I still haven't tried using a sauce instead of a dry rub yet in the Smoker

Someone on this board mentioned smoking "Pig Shots" (sausage wrapped in bacon filled with cream cheese mixture). Well I decided to make them and man were those amazing. I can't recommend them enough. Definitely on the menu for future get togethers. Whoever brought it up I salute you.

You're welcome...I've made them for several parties and you can't make enough! If you make 30 they'll be gone. If you make 75...they'll be gone!

I'm not a great cook at all, so I thought I'd run something by you guys. Tomorrow I'm gonna make jerk rubbed chicken thighs-boneless. As a side, I thought I might try kind of a corn salad with garlic butter, minced jalapeno, red pepper, diced onion, basil, grape tomatoes cut in half and maybe snow peas? Do you guys think that might work? I'm a sucker for fresh grilled corn with butter but wanted to spice it up a little.

The grilled corn salad sounds terrific. You could even toss the jalops on the grill as well.

Are you going with a commercial jerk rub or home-made?

This is the jerk recipe I use.

I thought maybe I'd heat the butter and toss the garlic and jalapeno in with it. As for the rub, I thought I'd get one pre-made this time, but if it doesn't suit my taste, I'll be back here for tips on making my own.

Smoking a small batch of baby backs and country style ribs. Got a good deal on some tequila barrel chunks so I'm trying those out as well!

They smoked really well actually. It had a mild flavor and great aroma, similar to that of fruit wood. You wouldn't know it was tequila soaked barrels if someone didn't tell you...but they worked well none the less.
