I really hope he stays at Miami unless we're down to choosing between Dykes, Golden and Smart which doesn't bode well.

It's not going to be Golden. Surely Hart will make Jimbo, Patterson, Gundy, Strong, etc say No first...

They shouldn't. He is a ****ty coach in a ****ty conference. We've tried this experiment twice and failed each time. I'm done with these small time coaches. He is hired I will not support him and will demand his firing first time he loses a game. :hi:

It wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't be mad if he was hired. He was who I wanted the last time we were looking for a coach.

I am sure the players thinking about going to the NFL would certainly put that off for a chance to play for al golden. Also all the 4* & 5* recruits probably can't wait to get on the golden train.

If Tennessee hires Al Golden, I'm jumping off the Gay St. bridge. Tennessee will continue to be a lower tier football team in the SEC.

Golden would be a desperation hire. Hiring him would mean the program is finished. Tennessee would deserve to die for such a hire. I would truly believe the Hart/Cheek conspiracy theories at that point.

IMO, hiring Golden is a last resort. But, I will stick with my original mantra of Anybody But Dooley. I mean...he's got to be better than him, right????

Golden is not necessarily the next hire. He is just the next candidate to be interviewed by Dave Hart.

The people in here badmouthing Golden show their lack of football knowledge about the kind of coach the guy is and his background.

I have no dog in the hunt, but you don't think that Miami, with their 5 national titles, wouldn't have had the same questions, and he won them over too?

Winning the interview and winning on the field are two different things!! Didnt Dooley win the interview over Sumlin and we all know how that turned out!! This would be a terrible hire!!!
